I need this tool badly, but I don't have a paypal account to pay cos my country is not listed. It's even difficult opening one. I have a personal debit card, can I use this to pay for scrapebox.

I need some help. I purchased scrapebox and I had it activated in 20 minutes. All of my emails that I have sent to support have been answered in 20 minutes. Service, and the product are great. I purchased a new VPS to put scrapebox on so I could have a faster internet connection and maximize its potential. I sent the request yesterday morning to get this transferred and I haven't heard anything back. I have sent now 3 emails and haven't heard anything back. If someone could help me with this I would really appreciate it. I want to get started asap. Thanks

Hang loose mates. They just physically moved to a new place this past week. They are really backed up on emails/requests right now.

Are a couple of private proxies enough to start or i need more?
thanks!

It depends on what your doing. You can run with no private proxies and use public, just you would want to make sure that if your posting with them that you use low latency ones.

I've been getting a lot of issues here lately just trying to scrape. Google is being extremely slow and constantly giving me "IP Blocked" even though I've ran my proxies through the proxy checker several times and it says they're all fine.

Yahoo is constantly giving me 417 errors, and Bing is constantly giving me 500 errors. I can't get a single good scrape run in, they all cut off a little after 10k usually, at most 20k. I used to not have problems with this, and now I've had nothing but problems. I'd love any advice you might have on troubleshooting this. I have private proxies, but I use them for commenting

Well thats loaded. Your up to date with .78 or greater right? When running proxies thru the checker you are NOT checking ignore google right? Your only saving the good ones right?

When you choose your connections are you setting them at how many? I reccommend not using more then 20% of your proxies.

E.G. if you have 500 working proxies don't set your connections for multi threaded harvester above 100. (20%)

I have no idea why bing would give you a error 500, it might be bing telling your "ip blocked" in a manner of speaking, same thing for yahoo. error 417 and error 500 both can lend to several reasons.

I would start from the beginning.

Delete your scrapebox files, reinstall scrapebox. Change only the settings needed to run, like multi threaded harvester and connections. (at least to test).

Then get proxies, make sure you have a good source, do NOT use the included sources with scrapebox for troubleshooting this. If you need some, look in the proxy section here on BHW, great thread by apekillape on how to get them from forums and members here give out free lists.

See what happens and post back.

hi
Does anyone has problem with haversting with google? When i choose yahoo/bing/aol to harvest i have no problem i obtain results, but with google i obtain no resuts (or i have to try many times) very strange...

Your up to date with the latest version? Anything .77 and behind doesn't work due to a change Google made.

OK not sure if this question has been asked before?

When is scrapebox going to get a forum profile building module ? ;)

Never used xrumer myself but I think scrapebox with a decent xrumer type add_on would kill it!

can i buy this software.. please tell becouse i need this,,, i cannot PM my post still zero

flaktrak: I'm sure more updates will be coming soon.

carang: Just go buy it, it's worth the cost.

@Stu784 - public proxies are slow and unreliable; I'm not saying that's the source of your issue, but public proxies are a PITA

Hey Greg,

Just got myself some private proxies and when I go into the 'Backlinks Checker' addon and run the URLs from my saved file I now get an 'Error 999'

I tested them before I started using them and they are all working/good according to Scrapebox

anybody else having issues with the link checker freezing all the time since the last update?

Thanks for taking the time to offer this advice. I've already started with a fresh install of Scrapebox, changing none of the default settings except to dial down my connections. I'm on version .79 and I'm using a forum proxy source checked via Scrapebox's inhouse proxy manager NOT with "ignore google" checked. All of my proxies are good to go with decent latency.

And I'm STILL having problems harvesting.

The problem seems to be selective. I can get results for a simple term like, for example "dog training". But, I can't get a result for something like:

"dog training" site:cn

After looking through my keyword list, almost all of my "IP Blocked" errors come from keywords that have operators like site: and intitle:. I can run the same scrape from my own IP with no problems.

Hi sweetfunny, I have 1 issue, and 1 question.

1) The crashdump logger doesnt appear to work, I just harvested around a million URLs and the program completely froze on me, to a point where i couldn't even close it down, it was just "not responding".
I had the crashdump logger running, and had no choice but to terminate process of scrapebox, the crashdump logger then closed itself down.
I then rebooted and all of my URLs were gone.

This is the second time this has happened, am i doing something wrong?
How should i be using the crashdump logger?
Is there something i need to do specifically to recover the information?

2) The blog analyzer, there is a tab at the top named "spam protection", i was wondering if you could define exactly what that means?
Is it programs like aksimet?

Stupd question but is this addon still part of scrapebox? I have purchased it but can't see it?

http://www.scrapebox.com/free-link-checker

Yes the Link Checker in ScrapeBox is a little better than the free one, it also fetches the anchor text etc. The Check Links is next to the Test Comments button.

No the Link Checker was not changed at all in the latest update.

Google is far more sensitive to queries with search operators such as site: inurl: intitle: etc and blocks them at a faster rate. A proxy can be blocked from doing operator lookups, but not blocked for doing a regular search.

The crashdump logger does not log the harvested URL's anymore, these are done automatically. In your ScrapeBox folder there will be /harvester_sessions/ folder and in there is Time/Date stamped logs of your harvested URL's so nothing is lost.

For your other question the "Spam Protection" column in the blog analyzer these are blogs with WP SpamFree, WP-Hash Cash, Numcaptcha math questions etc and ScrapeBox breaks these automatically so there's no need to worry about removing those.

Hi Sweetfunny .. I have a suggestion for the image grabber addon

Problem - Image grabber skips 50%-60% of images as most of the images on a topic have same image names.

The images may be different, but still They are skipped due to the same file name.

Solution - It'd be great if the image grabber addon saved the images with a long predetermined name like 123456asdfgh.jpg

In this way, images won't be skipped.

Awesome, is there anyway to decipher which blogs are using aksimet and then add a filter to remove them?

Many thanks for the quick reply, and awesome program.
