I have posted a very extensive list of footprints that you can use with Scrapebox to scrape urls, the footprints are over here : http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo-tools/232492-usefull-lost-footprints-scrapping-urls.html

I also use it with BMD

I've taken to not using my paid proxies at all for search engine scraping. I use a mix of SB harvested free proxies and some other proxies that have no bandwidth quota on them when I'm harvesting URL's, checking PR, etc. I get really good results from it, and haven't gotten banned once from any of the SE's using those proxies for harvesting.

Gregstereo, can you help to understand... How search engine can ban the domain for harvesting, especially if i use different domains, but it's not the promotion yet, justs data gathering?
Or you mean IP, but then what does it have to do with search engines?
sorry, i am not too technical....

Harvested 70K Blog Engine urls last week, removing duplicates took the list down to 5K. Ran the 5K through the Blog Analyzer Addon to confirm 3K were acceptable. Posted to the sites over the last week and this gave me the final list of 960 urls.

Scraped for approx 50 live proxies. Created 1000 random names and emails.

do you really need to divercify that much - create 1000 names & emails?

SB spins names, right?

AND EMAILS... CAN'T I JUST GET AWAY WITH LET'S SAY 10?

if people could get away with 10 they would
google sees all

Well lets look at it this way, why would you want to get away with only 10? I mean it takes virtually no more time for scrapebox to generate 10 emails then it does 10000. Then just hit save and your done. Same goes for names.

Scrapebox can spin names, but you have to put the {name1|name2} in the file, which is basically pointless. If you aren't using an anchor then just let SB generate names for you. Super easy.

Think about it, you could lower the odds of getting banned and it only takes an extra second.... y not would be the better questions...?...

oh, gocha.. didn't realize that SB does it... thought one needs to create them manually... thought, that would be quite a hassle :=)

Can someone give me some info on foreign lanuage, i have arabic keyword that i need to backlink and SB doesn't convert the language?? :(

It is in note pad but once i put it in the folder SB changes the language??? I really need to find a solution for this.. Sweetfunny or someone please help?:(

Thanks....:(

If you throw a tonne of queries at goog (or any search engine, really) in a short amount of time from the same IP (or even IP blocks), their alarms start going off.

They block or ban that IP for awhile and, in the case of goog you can tell when that's happened because if you go to their site in a browser and enter a query you get a page with a captcha on it and a "friendly" message that they've detected activity blah blah blah.

Hi!
Just wanted to ask whether it comes with any kind of user manual or something to get help from? Any tutorials etc?

Sarim.

No. Really there's no information about the program available any where. It's like Schrodinger's Cat, sitting in its quantum box.

In case it didn't come dripping through the keyboard, that was sarcasm (is joke). Yes, it comes with a user manual, there are also official and unofficial videos, and there's info ahoy all over the internets about best practices, tips and tricks, and so forth. The fact that you are posting on the 149th page of a thread about it might be a small hint to the quantity of information available.

As with any tool, nobody is going to spoon feed you or any other user, and there is no "Click Here to make the crazy monies from teh webz" button (unless you pay for the upgrade to add that button), but there are plenty of helpful guides around if you know how to read, wash, and repeat.

Is it enough to buy just one private proxy, or i should buy more than one?

factors to think about when using proxies

buying 1 proxie probably wont last you a day
most batches of 10 private proxie wont last there
rented month for power users.
public proxies can in some instances out perform
private ones if you have the right source.

can 1 proxie run scrape box ille answer that by saying
can a man lift 5 tones of lead

Guys, what is the link to SB user manual / guide besides official FAQs?
I want to read all that before buying...
I watched some videos, they don't answer some of my questions.

one more question, can i exclude certain words from allintitle search?

let's say I want to find only URLs that have word "travel" in its title, but excluding word "astral" :-)

Gregstereo, so, basically nothing happens to your domains, right?

It's just that you cannot search Google using the same IP, correct? Then you will need to search from a proxy, right?

For how long the the IP will be baned? Indefinitely?

proxygo and everybody, so how proxy purchase / ownership work?

Let's say I rent 10 proxies at $30 / month.
And then they died.
Do I get a replacement till the end of the month?

Or I next month I rent other 10 for $30?

How long 10 private proxies might last with SB if I scare with public ones and then post let's say 100K per month (scenario 2 - per week) with private ones?

Well, who know what each of the search engines really track, but when you're just scraping their indices their primary concern is if you're trying to ddos them or harvest large amounts of data in an automated way.

So no, it doesn't really have anything to do with your domains.

In my experience when an engine bans your IP it lasts for several hours or at most a day or two. I work pretty hard not to push the goog too hard, so I can't say what happens if you are a "repeat offender". And the SE's are pretty good at detecting some types of proxies - see the well-loved 999 error from Y! as an example. But if you're using proxies that don't leak your local IP or otherwise indicate they are a proxy, you should be okay for scraping the SE's with the Box.

and a few more questions... a morning of questions... :-)

Sweetfunny/bunny, and the crew...

will my ezine and youtube account get banned if i mass comment on article and video?
if so, how will it effect money site to which both point?
how many complains (or massive links built in a day/week) it might take for a ban?
anybody can share from their own experience, no assumptions please?

Can I use URL shorteners in comments or they will not pass link juice? (i don't care about traffic form those blogs, mainly backlinks)
