I can't update my scrapebox anymore, was away for a while and i'm stuck at version: 11454

For some reason I cant even browse/ping to the scrapebox . com :S

Is it me, or ?

edit: I can visit the site with a prox, but not without one. Did you banned me or something? :/

100, 200 or even 1gbit(in some cities) is no problem in my country (poland).

125mbit/10mbit down/up costs 45bucks/month

100/10 sounds more like the speed of a NIC or dongle than that of an ISP. Are you using an aircard or something like that for your internet access?

No standard cable connection.. I live in Sweden and its almost a standardized in small cities now to have 100 m/bit down and 10 m/bit
I have friends in capital that receives 500-1000 m/bit both ways..

I have been trying different setting when to scrape and It still comes very random. The only thing that is consistent s that every time I hit 503 error so does it freeze completely when I press abort.

Hi,

I am unable to harvest from G suddenly. am using proxies tested with the proxy scraper. Bing and Aol are working fine. problem is only with G. is anyone else having this issue.

WHy Do I keep getting error 503 when I scrape and how come that the software completely freezes when I press stop harvesting?
and how can I find out how long it has gone on my keyword list, so I dont have to re scrape all off the urls again if I want to make sure I get them all?

Does it always only happen with Yahoo?

Due to DDOS attacks if you access the server too many time in a short period of time. Contact support directly and they should be able to help you out. Scrapebox.com and access/update servers are allincluded in the list if you get banned. It will typically auto unban you after a time period, but you might have somehow managed to get on a permanent ban list.

Nice! I get 50/10 for $117 a month. 125Mbit is avail in some cities, but not mine at this time. Sure its near $200 though.

I have 75 m/bit download and 8 m/bit up...

shoouldnt it be able to handle 150 X 2 threads and 80 X 2 threads,,,

I was running more threads the first days then it started to happen and IM getting it now even when I lower the settings.

Well here is my experience. I am running a i5 8GB Ram machine on windows 7 64bit. (these are as of my connection being 24Mbit/2Mbit. I just got my 50/10 recently, but I haven't retested, although I feel it will be the same or similar.)

When harvesting I typically don't push it above 75-125 connections. 75 seems to be optimal for me. Similar in posting/link checking etc... 100 connections.

There seems to be a threshold for ideal performance. I can run 3 instances at 75 connections harvesting and get quicker more stable results then 1 instance at 150. I can run 5 instances posting or link checking at 100 connections with much better results then I can run 1 connection at 200 connections. I get way more timeout errors an other errors.

Point being I turn connections down and increase my instances and get better results. Depends on your system configuration, I just tested different settings and settled on what I use now.

Also it works with sessions when harvesting. So Google for instance sees your IP, but they also see your scrapebox instance as a separate session from other scrapebox instances running on your PC. So each SB instance gets its own treatment in addition to your IP getting treatment rules.

So keeping your connections down will help your particular session/instance will help minimize your issues. (this is from my understanding of it, which is not rock solid, so someone correct me if I am wrong).

But even when unblocking ips via the proxy harvester for a particular SB instance with Google doesn't unblock them for the other instances.

The short version there is that Greg is on point, the first thing I would do is try turning your connections down, like real low and see what happens and then slowly increase them and see where your cut off point is. If that doesn't work then go from there.

google might have banned the IP.

Everytime I harvest free proxies through SB, it finds a load BUT when I test them, I get good ones BUT then they all fail the IP test!

This happens with proxies from all sources.

Does anyone have any ideas about what could happening here?

Thanks

Free proxies just don't workvwer well, you might want to invest in private proxies.

I have a question, When doing commenting on moveable type blogs (or any type for that matter) why does it show in the status area that for example, 50 are a success and 100 failed and then when I go to check the links it shows up as ZERO posted? Im confused. What am I doing wrong if anything?

Thanks in Advance

They have been submitted but the blogs are not autoapprove. So wait for the moderator to approve your comments. Make sure that your comments are nice to have high approval ratio.

Some blogs ( alot) are auto approve too.

I'm having some serious issues with scraping large amounts of URLs at a time. I hit about 1.5mil this time before it just mysteriously crashed (the ever unhelpful "this application needs to close" message from windows).

Could it be my keyword list making it crash? I'm loading about ~10k keywords per run. I'm on Win7, anyone else experienced issues with these large lists?

Working fine here, does it give you an error message/code?

Again, Sbox is not magic, its just like using a browser, except automated. Sbox is reporting that the blog stated that it received the comment. However the comment will still go to moderation, and the blog admin may or may not approve it.
