People shop at big trusted sites with names they know, not shitty little one pagers that someone throws up in an hour. Become an affiliate instead and send amazon buyers. Thats going to be way easier.

The best place for you to get your feet wet is hubpages or infobarrel. They have amazon + ebay + adsense revenue all rolled into one and you don't have to pay domain fees. Just do keyword research with MNF, make a quick article (there is your one hour a day), backlink it with some good software and move on to day 2. Repeat every day. By the end of the year you will have 200 sites running. I won't say that will make $200/day, but it will definately be more than the zero you are making now and going to make with your current method.

Thanks for the tip but I'll stick to my plans because Amazon affiliate is an extremely saturated market. I'm sure you can make money but there's competition.

In my niche, there is 0 competition. Plenty of demand. Not everyone can do this business because the products are specialized.

July 31st - the cut off date
Still a lot of work to be done in terms of making the site shoppable and ready.
It's so important for me to finish this by July 31st.
Then when August comes, I'll be promoting the hell out of my site to get ready for the $$$ to fly in! *expecting something too ambitiously leads to disappointment so I'm not expecting too much

Thanks for the input guys, I really appreciate it.

If the advice given was based on the business I decided to pursue (ie-which e-commerce cms to use, or how to seo shopping sites), I'd take the advice and apply it. But if one experienced blackhatter is suggesting amazon, and another pops up and recommends ClickBank, I'd be moving all over the place.

With any business (which you personally find viable), whether it's re-inventing the wheel or doing what's proven to work, you gotta put some time and effort into it before making conclusions or shifting strategies. I'm not even at the stage where I'm promoting my site.

Who knows, it might be a big hit and I'll make $200/day in no-time. It might be a miss and I might have wasted my time. But the worst thing I can do is keep shifting my vision from A to B to C like a sheep just because someone experienced suggested I do so.

I decided I'm going to start this e-commerce store so I'm gonna stick with it. I'm not re-inventing the wheel because many people have started successful stores and there's many resources that will help me.

I'd really appreciate advice given on the project I'm working on (or ways I can focus, improve quality of work, etc) instead of other business ideas like starting an amazon store, etc.

Day 4: The value of the real world

Today I went to the city to check out the products I'm selling.
Did some hands-on research and learnt a lot about my niche and products.

I loved it so much more than sitting in front of my mac because I actually had a chance to laugh, smile, and interact. I've come to realize that I should spend time with people 80% of the time and use the 20% to work on my computer. I feel more alive that way

I'm having an early night tonight. I'm happy with my progress.
It'll be only 2 days before August tmr and I'm looking forward to finishing up the content so I can start promoting the site!!!

What you need to START with is to take a step back, relax, and change your perspectives a bit.

I'll work 10 hours for "free" knowing that i'm creating an asset that will pay me every month for the rest of my life. But keep in mind: I do work those 10 hours. You've been doing internet marketing for 3 months, and have a $1200 credit card debt. You're willing to work 1 hour per day, until the end of the year, and expect to generate a $200/daily revenue by then.

Man, think about it.

That's 155 hours of total work.

And, from 155 hours of total work you're expecting to build a $6,000/month asset?

Look, I'm not a rich guy. Not a super-successful one either. But trust me. I work full time in a company and have a semi-passive income that generate about 3.5k/per month. That's a nice extra income: But It took me 2 years of study, work and creative website building to get there. Learning, testing, creating stuff, failing and constantly finding new ways to grow my business.

Time spent in total? Oh - I lost count a long time ago. A couple of hours per day at least -And at the same time working full time as an employee.

I only work with niches and website projects I find interesting. No weird niches about stuff I don't give a f-ck about - But actually building websites about things I care about. (If they fail i've at least spent a few hours educating myself and learning more about that topic.)

Now - If I keep growing my asset with +10%/month, i'll reach $6k/month in 10-12 months, but keep in mind that I by then have been working for 3 years to get there. And that ain't no one hour per day work days let me tell you.

So - Why am I telling you this?
Because I, like lots of other people in this business, thought that I could find a magical solution that would get me success overnight. I've been online for close to 10 years now, and seen every possible scam you can imagine. And I know that 90% of the people reading this and other internet marketing forums doesn't make any money at all. Simply because they fail to realize that nothing comes for free.

Not saying to piss you off - It's meant as a way to help you realize that you need to work a bit more to get there. Not saying you won't reach $6000/month, but it's not going to happen by working an hour a day for 155 days.

Get a job, pay off your debt, and aim to make $30 within 30 days from now. Sounds like a boring goal? Well, how are you going to get to $200 per day if you're not ready to make $1/day? And trust me: ANYONE that is focused and ready to work and learn can get there.

Internal linking and a website with good structure is often all you need. Install wordpress and a seo-plugin and you are ready. Link building is a waste of time (Wow, that will piss a few people off.) - Instead spend time on building value and the links will follow. That is my truth: And the last 30 days I got 170k absolute unique visitors from Google, and i have never left a blog comment with a link to my website or submit my websites to link directories. It takes too much time, time Ill rather spend writing and producing content that people will link to. And if you can prove me wrong: Well, then ill go ahead and do some link building

Yeah you know what your problem is? You are depressing yourself. You just want your website to run good. The problem is you don't set any goals. I had this problem too! You just want to make your store perfect and get traffic by using methods. You want buy xrumer or scrape box while you haven't a method. Just build your shop first put in say 5 products. Set your first goal : try to rank one product on an easy keyword. When that goal is finished set a next goal. With setting goals you motivate yourself with going small steps foreward. yes i want to be number 1 on a big keyword. But the trick is to start small, try to rank at least on one keyword which receives some traffic. When you see 2 visitors a day searching for you product you are getting motivated to get another product ranked on a keyword. So SET a GOAL don't just think you can buy xrumer or scrapebox to rank your whole website in the top, because this isn't going to happen. Ok yeah maybe in the future if you have worked your ass off...

I understand 1 hour a day is not enough. Thats from spending ages setting up the e-commerce site I have now...which isn't done yet. I simply set 1 hour a day just to get me started. I was spending 0 before, so the transition will go from 1 to 2 to 3...etc.

My goal after the content is done is to make my first sale no matter what! Then hopefully that first sale will be a starting point for many others to come.

I understand what you're saying about underestimating the ability to earn a good steady cashflow. 2 years ago I was dreaming of buying this and that, taking the first girl I like to a date on my ferrari, etc. 2yrs later I'm worse off than I was 2yrs back!! I'll take things as they come and try not to over-excite myself with "potential" figures I can make.

Week 2
Shame to say I haven't finished the content for my site yet.

I can finish it in 2hours but I've been procrastinating and leaving it late.

Instead I spent all night working on a new site.
It's an online/offline hybrid. I've built up the content, verified the url with google, bing, and yahoo webmasters, submitted domain, and set up keywords.

Once it's listed on Google (hoping asap), I'll contact the services to advertise on my site. I've decided to advertise a maximum of 3 firms in my niche (to keep competition low and advertising fees high).

I'm looking to charge (per month):
$2000 for top placing
$1000 for second placing
$500 for third placing

Those fees are negotiable so I'm looking forward to see how they react to those charges.

A huge business idea
Over the weekend, I just spotted an amazing niche. It's once again an online/offline hybrid but this time my friend knows the client so it makes it easier. My friend can work on the content while I work on SEO and Website management. Split the profit 50-50, set up a company, buy a maseratti under company expenses, and go to Spain to play football for Barcelona

No, seriously, this business is really big money. We're looking at a minimum $5000 per month from that single client IF we can appear on the first 3 pages of Google for our keywords. If we land page 1, man, we'll be flying up at more than $10k per month minimum with 1500+ uniques per day.

Excited? Man I'm having ecstasy.
