Hello BHW members , I have a business website registered in 2016 and there many traffic and sales in 2018 to 2022 hi volume sale and traffic then I change hosting because someone creaked my WP Password and change payments gateway its reason to change hosting and also re design web but after day by day my traffic down and also sales. so whats happen and Solution. can't share web link its BHW violation

When you redesigned your website, did you change the URLs Structure also ?

Yes , change all and then upload a new sitemap on google
That is the reason you're losing traffic. Google sees the new URLs as different pages. Did you set up permanent redirects from your old URLs to the new ones?

Yes , set up permanent redirects is done.

It sounds like your website has faced some significant challenges and changes, which may have impacted your traffic and sales. Here are a few common reasons for the drop in traffic and some potential solutions:
  1. Hosting and Site Speed: If your new hosting provider has slower servers or if the migration wasn't done properly, it could affect your site's speed and performance. Ensure your site is loading quickly and consider using tools like Google PageSpeed Insights or GTmetrix to test and improve site speed.
  2. Technical SEO Issues: During the redesign and migration, some SEO aspects might have been overlooked. Check for issues like broken links, missing meta tags, and improper redirects. Tools like Screaming Frog SEO Spider or Sitebulb can help you identify these issues.
  3. Content and Keywords: If the content or structure of your website changed significantly, it might have impacted your rankings. Make sure your content is relevant, optimized for your target keywords, and high quality. You might also want to compare your current content with what was ranking well before.
  4. Backlinks: Losing backlinks during a migration or redesign can affect your SEO. Check if you lost any valuable backlinks and try to regain them or build new ones.
  5. Google Search Console: Use Google Search Console to check for any issues or messages from Google. It can provide insights into any crawl errors or other problems affecting your site's visibility.
  6. Analytics Review: Look at your Google Analytics data to identify when the drop in traffic began and which pages or sources are most affected. This can give you clues about what might be causing the decline.
  7. Competitor Analysis: Assess what your competitors are doing. They might have made changes or improvements that have affected your rankings and traffic.
  8. Revisit Your SEO Strategy: Reevaluate your SEO strategy to ensure it aligns with current best practices. This includes on-page optimization, technical SEO, and off-page factors like backlinks and social signals.
  9. Local SEO: If your business relies on local traffic, make sure your local SEO is optimized. This includes maintaining accurate local listings and optimizing for local keywords.
  10. Content Marketing and Engagement: Consider updating your content marketing strategy to engage your audience better. Blogging, social media, and email marketing can all play a role in driving traffic.
Addressing these areas should help you identify the root cause of your traffic drop and develop a strategy to improve your SEO and sales.

This definitely has something to do with your losing traffic. However with the permanent redirects it should help. How long have you been losing traffic?

Well, this is the reason. What happened is that google had to re-index pages whose URLs were changed and some of the backlinks you had may be pointing to dead URLs on your website as well. All this negatively affects your SEO and thus, low traffic.

It sounds like your website's drop in traffic and sales might be due to a few reasons. Changing hosting, redesigning the website, and the hacked payment gateway could have caused issues like slower loading times, broken links, or lower trust with search engines. You may have lost some SEO ranking during the changes. To fix it, check your website’s speed, update your SEO, and make sure everything is working properly, including the payment system. Regularly monitor traffic and use tools like Google Analytics to find where the problem is.

start losing in 2022

It’s great to hear that your hosting speed is good, your SEMrush score is high, and everything looks fine with your keywords and meta tags. Since it seems like backlinks might be the issue, consider focusing on that.

You might want to start by trying to recover any lost backlinks by reaching out to sites that used to link to your old site and asking them to update their links. Additionally, consider launching a new link-building campaign to gain fresh, high-quality backlinks, which could help improve your site’s authority.

It might also be worth doing a thorough content audit to make sure all your high-performing content was properly retained and optimized during the redesign. Check the user experience on your site as well, as any changes in design or navigation could impact user engagement and conversions.

Lastly, look into conversion rate optimization strategies to ensure that your site is effectively converting visitors into customers. These steps should help you address the drop in traffic and sales and get back on track.
Your briefing is very helpful for me. I'll follow

It is likely that the hosting change and site makeover impacted your SEO, loading speed, or user experience, resulting in a decrease in traffic and revenue. To recover, improve your site's performance, evaluate SEO settings, and make sure the new payment mechanism is user-friendly and secure.

Yes SEO in process and hope I'll recover soon .

Hire a specialist, and do not write in riddles, what was that long gone! It's 2024 and everything is changing! Start developing the project taking into account the requirements of the time!

Make sure all old URLs correctly redirect to the new ones. Next, try to recover any lost backlinks by contacting sites that linked to your old pages. Review and optimize your content to ensure it matches your target keywords and performs well. Check Google Search Console to confirm your new URLs are being indexed correctly. Finally, ensure your site’s user experience is smooth and loading times are fast.

A common problem is misconfiguration during migration. I would recommend running a full scan with Screaming Frog or similar to check for any issues with internal links or noindex tags.

It sounds like you've experienced significant changes that have impacted your website’s performance. Here’s a breakdown of possible reasons for the decline in traffic and sales, along with suggested solutions:

Potential Issues

  1. Loss of Authority: Changing hosts can affect your site's SEO if not done properly. If the new host has slower load times or downtime, this can impact your rankings.
  2. Redirection Problems: If your website's URL structure changed during the redesign and proper redirects weren’t set up, you may lose organic traffic.
  3. Content Changes: If the redesign altered the content significantly (especially SEO-optimized content), it could affect your rankings.
  4. Technical SEO Issues: The redesign might have introduced technical problems, such as broken links, missing meta tags, or poor mobile optimization.
  5. Keyword Ranking Fluctuations: If you lost rankings for important keywords due to changes made during the redesign or hosting transition, this could directly impact traffic.

Solutions

  1. Analyze Traffic Sources: Use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to determine where the drop in traffic is coming from and which pages are affected.
  2. Check for Technical Issues: Run an SEO audit using tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Screaming Frog to identify technical issues like broken links, slow page speeds, and mobile usability problems.
  3. Review Redirects: Ensure that 301 redirects are in place for any changed URLs to preserve link equity and redirect users to the correct pages.
  4. Monitor Keyword Rankings: Use keyword tracking tools to see if your rankings have dropped for important search terms. This can guide your content strategy.
  5. Optimize Content: Revisit your website’s content to ensure it aligns with current SEO best practices, including on-page SEO elements like titles, headings, and meta descriptions.
  6. Engage in Link Building: Work on acquiring high-quality backlinks to regain authority and improve rankings.
  7. Focus on User Experience: Ensure your site is user-friendly, loads quickly, and is mobile-optimized to improve user engagement and reduce bounce rates.
  8. Consider Professional Help: If the decline persists, consider consulting an SEO expert who can provide a detailed analysis and tailored strategy.
By addressing these areas, you can work towards recovering your traffic and sales. Consistent monitoring and optimization are key to long-term success in SEO
