HI there I need help for my new project
I have started a websote targeting local area information example zipcodes I have scraped data from my competitor webaite becaue all the information come under the common content term just like
android version if top 10 website is talking about Iphone 16 they all will show the same iso version so my niche is based on this type of content

I have checked my competitor website he has started getting traffic after 52 posts in 2022 according to ahref I know this is not a solid reason but I dont understandt why is this happening to me

Here is some states

800+ impressions but not a single click what tf is this

I have used this method for title like

head + modify term
example: Iphone 12 pro max specs
samsung galacy 23 ultra specs

In which device name will be modiy term and specs will be head term and this same method was used by my competitor

City name + head term

My targted country is ph and i have country TLD also my content language is english becaue my top 10 comppetitors are using english language

Now what should I do to imporve or get clicks

on its own, 800 impressions and 0 clicks might look bad. But your average position is 45 (that's page 5 of google), where almost nobody ever visits, so it's not surprising you have no clicks.

Also, I am willing to bet that these impressions come from more than 1 page, and - when broken down - it might look something like page 1 got 30 impressions, page 2 got 118 impressions, page 3 got 44 impressions, and so on... Which means that - once again, for such a low average position - the clicks to impressions ratio is absolutely normal.

Your CTR might be bad too, which is usually a case of meta tags (title + description), so you'll want to improve those too, although... on page 5 of google hardly anyone notices or cares about your meta tags, so you need to work on your SEO more than anything to get to at least page 2 of google where you might get clicks (and better stats overall)

speaking of copying the competitor ad literam... google doesn't usually rank (or rather never ranks) 2 identical pieces of content, which might explain why you're in the land of nowhere (page 5) because your competitor already ranks for the content you stole, so there's no reason for google to rank you too for the exact same content...

If I were you I would make the content unique and then resubmit the sitemap to GSC for google to recrawl your site and see that the content is unique and (hopefully) rank you at least in top 20, where you might get some clicks :)

Now what should I do to imporve or get clicks
1) make the content unique
2) interlink your pages properly (within their own category / silo for extreme relevance)
3) acquire (buy or manually build, don't use software) quality links from wherever you can (check your competitor's backlinks and see if you can steal those. Stealing the backlinks is fine :)

What do you suggest I should do for better SEO ranking unique content or also the meta titles

But can you please tell me the unique content and what does it means MY exact niche is about zip codes in specific countries so the information is consent for every competitor

Should I extend the content of my pages ???

Please can you provide me some pro tips

both! But the content is more important overall, as long as the meta titles exist and are relevant to the content...

wait, what do you mean that your niche is zip codes? Your site is just a list of zip codes or what??

Yes you're right its all about zip codes a list of zip codes that cover all of the zip codes information of a specific country for now I have only listed zip codes with city names or some basic information

First, tell me if there is any problem with this niche. I am working on proper internal linking between cities or states

second if this is not enough I will provide some more information like

population
longitude latitude
geo-location data
some famous places
map picture as a media
growth rate
job rate in ( City name)

What do you say?

to be honest I've never dealt with such a niche before, so I don't know what to recommend.

But based on similar sites that I've seen before I think the content is not a priority in this case, and I think google knows this too. Your site looks like a link directory sort of site, and content on such websites is always minimal.

I think your best bet in this case is to focus on link building and try link exchange / partnerships with similar sites in your country. The on-page SEO for such a website becomes increasingly important too in this case (so focus on it alongside the link building), which brings me to the following...

population
longitude latitude
geo-location data
some famous places
map picture as a media
growth rate
job rate in ( City name)

some of these ideas are great and could work for a website that just lists zip codes. I particularly like the "famous places" and "job rates" perks, I think this would make for an interesting section of an otherwise dull website, content-wise. So yeah, I fully support these implementations, nice thinking :)

I'm really sorry that I can't help more, but like I said, this type of website is new to me (I mean, I might have seen similar sites before, but I've never approached them for SEO. so I wouldn't know what to say)...

Thank you IT means a lot Thank you for your time

But can you please tell me my competitor is focusing on nigeria but I want to focus on different country so I will search the main keyword zip code with google advance search and then I will 1 by 1 reverse engineer the backlinks and find the best links by ahref or got them

is it good idea??

reverse engineering your competitors is always a good idea. But you can get any links you want, you don't have to copy your competitors :)

free links don't usually work, google makes sure to devalue any link that mortals have access to. But hey, if that's all you can afford go for it :)

Here's a few free linking opportunities that have been shared this year, maybe you can make some of them work (hopefully the admins of those sites have not patched this yet as they often do):

Also, these might not be free (haven't checked them, so I don't know, I just trust the guy implicitly), this list by @Steptoe is an amazing collection of sites that you might find useful when you have money to invest in link building:

Last but not least, if you wish to find your own sources of (guest posts mostly) you can run google searches for these terms shared by @The SEO :
