Hi,

If I have a http://www.domain.com website and subdomains are like www1.domain.com, www2.domain.com, and www3.domain.com, my question is, having multiple subdomains is a good idea or not?

How many subdomains can we create for a particular website?

For Yuur usage no limit hut I think every hosting company have limit for this kind if feature.

Hi, But it is a good idea to create multiple subdomains for a particular website or not for SEO? It will affect the main website or not?

Google treats each subdomain as a different website basically.
You should use subdomains if you actually want to keep the content completely different.

Like say you have a saas product and a blog on the same site. Then you can have your SaaS product landing page on example.com and the blog on blog.example.com and the actual SaaS on app.example.com

You can have unlimited subdomains btw (or practically restricted by the number your Domain Name Registrar allows)

Hi, thanks for your reply.

Actually, we are having multiple subdomains but the content, like menu bar, images, meta tags etc same as like main website. So, all the subdomains will be banned?

Also, when we click on main website URL i.e. xyz.com it is redirecting to https://www1.xyz.com, https://www2.xyz.com, https://www3.xyz.com, etc.

There is no problem creating multiple subdomains, all it costs you for hosting.
It won't affect the main website unless you are using different content on each website.
If you want to use the same content for the main website and other subdomains then must consider the canonical tag to avoid any duplicate content issues.

Okay!! Thank you for your reply. :)
