@tami: Iknow it does not help, but I use Win 7 64 bit too, and all addons are starting for me in an instance.
So there must be any software running causing this issue.
Even the firewall could cause it. Make sure that you allow all addons to establish a connection.

Odd. Okay, don't take this the wrong way, but I'm gonna "tech support" you for just a minute. Sometimes doing this to myself helps me when I run into oddities like this....

Since the last time sbox add-ons opened on the computer where they aren't opening on now, what's changed? Have you installed any other apps? Updated the OS or IE (e.g. their "security" updates)?

Also, just for the total crapshoot of troubleshooting that sometimes helps, have you tried running ccleaner and anti-malware on the pc just to see if there's any crap laying around on the HDD or in memory that could be causing this?

You got me stumped, and also kinda curious.

Alright so the only changes since last time the addons worked is that I updated all the addons (hadn't updated them since I installed them). I have not updated the OS or IE.

I haven't run CCleaner or any anti-malware scans on the PC, but will definitely do that.

Let me know if you need any other info that may help. I'm off for now, but will check back on the thread first thing in the morning.

I also think, at the moment, its a little 64bit "problem".

This addon problem, isn't very often (maybe 4-5 times per week).

The bigger problem, in my case, is the hung app (oh sorry, the "not working" app) after that, i can't start it again (cause i don't like to post on the same blogs).

So i got the crashdump log to work finally and when the program crashed it saved the URLS but i still dont know why its crashing to begin with.

I turned off my AV and tried to load the list of 310K keyword list and so far 45 minutes ive been waiting and still hasnt started harvesting yet.

I send you logs every time it crashes so hope you can look them over.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

In color so you dont overread me again...

Bobbys had found a trick that helped me when the harvester dont want to start. I had the problem that when I clicked on Start Harvesting SB didnt establish one connection. But 8 minutes after that it startet suddenly.
He found that when you click the menuentries at the top and open and close them suddenly the harvesting starts and connections are established.
Helps me a lot because else I would have to wait very often...
Maybe try that when you have the problem that your connections arent opened too...

Is anyone finding SB shutting down if aborting a comment blast?

Mine does every time, I used the old one I got from when I brought SB and that is fine?

Its only 1.14.8(and build before) that is doing this, plus the urls(wordpress) all have failed500 by the name?

If you add your decaptcher.com login info into Scrapebox, does it use that when it is posting comments to Wordpress blogs? Do you need to tell it to use it?

Is there something that talks about the differences between normal and slow mode?

Can we have a status bar (percentage of completion)?
And the ability to pause/resume the scrape from where it left (remember keyword position)? Even after restarting or turning off computer.

This is necessary for BIG scrapes and multiple footprints.

UPDATE:

The harvester is still sucking balls i ran it last night with my keyword list or 320K and i made sure this time the scrapebox logger was on it gave me the message "Scrapebox instance added to logger" so i ran it, it took an hour to start the actual scraping and when i woke up it was still going fine i came home from work and it crashed as it always does for this list very weird issue. So i was like whatever it backed it up went into the scrapebox folder and NOPE it didnt save the harvested list which was at 3M when i got up. This is getting annoying.

Please try .9 and if all your comments are showing 500 it means the blogs are rejecting the comment, most likely because your data is badly formatted.

You need to tick Captcha > Enable Automatic Captcha Solving for it to work. As for the differences between the two modes, the main thing to know is the slow mode must be used for BlogEngine because that platform requires javascript to comment plus it must be used for Captcha solving. Also it works on more blog types, and blogs the fast commenter may not work on.

Maybe someone else can import a 300k list and kick off the harvester and see how long it takes.

@CDC15 - I'm running a test as SF suggested someone try and it seems to be going just fine. Couple thoughts/questions:

there's a lot going on in this thread - did you see SebastianJu's suggestion and try it? I think you might have overread it the 1st time, so he bolded and made your name red last time he posted it. It sounds odd but works sometimes.

Try running ccleaner on your system, it sometimes fixes odd probs in sbox and besides just makes any computer less crapified.

Is it always the same list of keywords that crashes? Kinda makes me wonder if there is some sort of malformed data either in the KW list or in the harvested results set. I've seen malformed data cause apps to freak out, and it's always really confusing at first and a bitch to track down sometimes. Are some of the KW's from the sbox keyword scraper? That could have brought in some rogue data.

But you wouldnt need to be so exact that the number of results are counted into the progress. I think it would be sufficient when 0 to 100% are the keywords. Which means when working on a keywordlist of 200, google and yahoo working on keyword 100, bing at 50 and aol at 150 the progressbar would stay at 50% as the average worked on keyword.

Did cdc try what I wrote twice? Has he banned me from reading? I mean I havent to wait 1 hour but instead nearly everytime 8 minutes. At 8 minutes runtime of the harvester suddenly the harvester starts to establish connections. But I can force SB to start establishing connections by opening the menuentries in Scrapebox. Then it starts out of a sudden. Reason unknown.
And for the crashing I can only guess its something with the RAM. Maybe SB gets too less RAM or something.

Its allowed to run your SB on 1 computer as many instance u like, but only on 1 computer.

The multi footprint is not working correctly.

For highly indexed keywords i get 1 result back from every search engine.
There must be something serious wrong.

EDIT: For some strange reason i had my results set on 1 instead of 1000 (i always have it on 1000) :s
