Review:

I received a review copy before the book was released. The eBook itself is a hundred pages long, which took me some time to read. It covers everything from creating AdMob and Google Play developer accounts, where to find and create apps or games, to ranking on Google Play and the Apple App Store. There is really all kinds of information in there. For example, it explains how Google spies on us, how to avoid footprints, all sorts of things. From apps, accounts, ranking apps, stats, ad networks, mediation, push notifications, tools and so on. It is like a complete guide.

There are a few things I really liked and found helpful:
  • He included some sites where you can find really cheap app templates (which will definitely save you more money than you spent on this eBook).
  • Especially a method (a bonus) to find a profitable niche in just a few minutes, which I had never thought of before, surprised me a lot.
  • Easy to understand and follow.
  • There's no copy and paste, it's natural and hand-written.
If you read this eBook (and just take the sites he shares) it will not only save you money by avoiding mistakes or terminations, it will also save you money on getting app templates and spending on research tools. He also explains his own step-by-step method for ranking apps.

Would I recommend the ebook at this price? Yes, I would. There is so much information in it. Lots of bonuses. Definitely worth the price if you ask me.

My Review:

I received a review copy from the OP and I must say: I'm AMAZED ! I have never seen such detailed guide from A to Z, nakamura has covered everything, literally everything you need to jump into this business model, and what i liked more is that there is no fluffy content, trying to fill the gaps or something, it's a straight to point talk, a summarize of years of testing and failling, and for anyone who is interested in starting this like me it's a goldmine, because if you'd look into guides and how's to online, they are just a rehash of google's own tutorials, it's kind of an enclosed business, where it's rare to find someone talking about his own experience.

I've been myself thinking about doing this & mentionned it here in BHW, but what was holding me is the damn continuous bans from Google & guess what ? the OP has dediated 40 pages to this, which is gonna save anyone hundreds of dollars on testing materials : VPNs, proxies, RDPs ... , and this alone worth thousands to share.

You want to jump in the train with us ? give it no more thoughts, this is for you.
P.S : I really hope the OP move this to the JV section :D !

I bought the guide yesterday and just finished reading it and overall I'm impressed.

The reason why I think this is the best guide I've seen on BHW is that it's not full of typos and half of the pages are not full of useless full-page images, but instead full of well-written text and useful info.

I think it's important to note that quite a few tips from this guide can also be found from Nakamuras amazing journey thread here on BHW, so go read that first if you're unsure how well he knows his stuff.

Around 30-40 of the 100 pages explain how to deal with bans and making new accounts without footprints which is surely useful for many newcomers but I think that section could easily be shortened to half of it.

A big part of the guide is explaining how to do keyword research (and why you shouldn't focus on it too much) and figure out what kind of apps are currently ranking high on the stores alongside many websites and tools that will help you with that.

There's also tons of great tips about what makes a great app/game and how you should monetize them, utilizing analytics and advertising your apps within your other apps. A lot of the tips are self eplanatory, but it's nice to have them all in one place so you don't end up overlooking something important.

As for the advertised 'No-coding needed' claim, I think you should take it with a grain of salt. The guide explains in-depth where and how to find cheap source-codes which are technically ready to go, but if you really want to update and modify those yourself so they're not duplicates of other peoples apps who have the same source code, you must be ready to dive into a bit of coding as well to be able to freshen them up and add your own features to them (unless you are willing to pay others to do this for you every time, which is going to be really expensive in the long run.)

I think my favorite part about the guide was the detailed guide on when, where and how to get installs, reviews and other necessary boosts for ASO as well as optimizing the descriptions and even backlinks. (This will cost money and is a big factor in ranking your apps! Of course you can skip this part but then you are at the mercy of great niche selection or pure luck)

All in all,

This is definitely the highest quality Ebook I've come accross on BHW and I've bought quite a few and it's refreshing to read a guide that is written by a fluent English speaker. You will find tons of gold nuggets and tips no matter if you're starting out or already have an app or two out there.

Would I be happy to pay $200 for it? Only if I didn't know anything about app development prior to this guide.
Would I be happy to pay $100 for it? Definitely, any day of the week!

I received my review copy in exchange for my review copy

1) I agree with the above reviews this guide is very nicely planned, and contains all the information you need to start your journey.

2) as it was 100 pages long I couldn’t rush into it, but from what I read it’s clear there’s value in it.

3) there were man aspects of this where I had my doubts but now they’re all clear so far I haven’t asked the seller any questions but I’m sure those will answered if I need help.

4) as others have already written all the details you need to make an decision I’ll add remember buying this guide and doing nothing won’t help you, buy it only if are keen to implement it

I recieved a review copy from OP.

First i would like to thank @nakamura for providing me with a copy of his eBook. I was always interested in this but never really had a clue on how to get it started. The eBook has a little over 100 pages and is laid out in specific categories such as how to create an app, how to upload the app, account bans, marketing the app and so on. Especially if you are a beginner and have zero experience in the mobile apps business, then this is the right eBook for you. Nakamura explains every section in great detail so that it really brings the point across.

Here are some more points that i wanna bring across upon reading his eBook:
  • Great eBook from someone that actually knows what he's talking about (Proof is his journey thread on BHW.)
  • The eBook has some examples from mistakes that nakamura has made in the past, that new users can learn from
  • He is not only relying on one single method but also shows other ways to make money from Apps
  • Exceptionally well written. Much better than what you would expect from a "normal" eBook, hence why i also wanted to get a review copy :anyway:
Conclusion: Is it worth the money? Yeah, especially if you are just starting out in mobile apps industry then this eBook could be a golden nugget for you, potentially saving you a couple of hundreds of bucks, which you would have otherwise spent on things that would've not worked as nakamura explains in his book. From my own standpoint i can say that this eBook definitely spiked my interest in the mobile app industry and i will surely read it once again in the near future if i decide to start out pursueing this.

Thank you for the review copy.

REVIEW:

This ebook is an excellent guide for anyone looking to make money through mobile apps and games. The 104-page ebook is comprehensive and covers every aspect of earning from mobile apps and games in-depth.

One of the standout features of the ebook is OP's optimistic attitude toward the subject. Despite the competition in the mobile app and gaming industry, OP sees opportunities rather than challenges. This attitude is infectious and helps readers feel more confident in their own ability to succeed in this field.

The ebook is well-written and easy to follow, with minor grammatical errors that do not detract from the overall quality. OP has shared his personal experience and knowledge, ensuring that readers don't make the same mistakes he did. This level of detail is particularly helpful, as it covers everything from creating accounts to avoiding getting banned and building a long-term, passive income stream.

One of the best things about the ebook is how easy it is to understand and follow. OP has made everything as simple as possible, making it ideal for both beginners and those with some experience in this area. Additionally, the ebook covers all the essential topics needed to start earning from mobile apps and games, making it a comprehensive resource.

The support is excellent, and OP seems like a gentleman. I think you will be in great hands, and you can learn a lot from his experience.

Overall, it is an excellent resource for anyone interested in earning from mobile apps and games. With its comprehensive coverage, positive attitude, and easy-to-understand style, this ebook is a must-read for anyone looking to make money in this exciting field. It is highly recommended.

Good luck with sales, @nakamura.

Paid review (not a copy review):

First of all, i exchanged 4 months of my signature for this ebook, so you could say i bought it, in the broad sense of the word( sigs like mine go for around 25 - 30usd per month these days). So this review is mostly unbiased.

i quite liked the ebook. the content follows a logical order so that you are aware of the pitfalls before starting, its not fluffed with images, and its packed full of personal experiences. it also has quite a few tools and resources to deepen your knowledge beyond what's on the ebook. this is not necessary for initial success and you could probably do well by just following what's on the ebook to a T, but i think this is meant to be more of a journey, rather than simply a method.

Now, the elephant in the room: if the technical part is what's scaring you, well, i can at least tell you that amateur developing apps has never been more accessible. yes, it will do you a lot of good to learn the bare minimum so that you can actually handle your code. but nowadays you can just grab chatGPT and ask ANYTHING that's confusing you or blocking your way from a piece of code. also, the communities and learning resources built around the frameworks the author recommends for this are huge, so no need to ponder stuff alone if you don't want to. whatever question you have, there are probably 5 different youtube videos with it on the title. and you won't be coding stuff from scratch. so come in willing to learn don't let big nerd words scare you.

on the other hand, you will need some budget here. how much depends on your niche, what resources you already own, how fast you want resources, luck, and if you can actually craft outside-of-the-box advertisements. there will probably surely be both failures and successes early (like most online businesses tbh), so come ready for the whole rollercoaster.

Pretty sure all the stuff mentioned in the bullet points of the sales thread does get explained in detail in the ebook. besides that, some other useful things here that aren't mentioned in the sales thread are:

-it teaches you how to what specific parameters to look at when evaluating the apps you can compete with. mentions a few tools i didn't know to evaluate the profitability of a niche and the popularity of an app. of course, being up to date with trends is pretty important.
-the cans and cants of admob (i have 0 experience with admobs so lots to digest here), and some recommendations on how to squeeze the value out of traffic.
-gives some ideas on which type of ads to implement in different scenarios and how to come up with ideas for this.
-some measures to strongly diminish the chances of competition screwing your popular apps.
-some advice on how to appeal when an app is suspended.
-a in-depth comparison between Android and Apple’s app ecosystem: differences in policy enforcement, user behavior, app making, earnings, etc.
-a list of useful SDKs (software developer kits. basically neat little third-party tools that simplify doing a specific thing) for various things like analytics and other functions. again (this is my personal advice), rely on chatGPT and youtube for anything you dont understand. chatGPT may be a little outdated when it comes to stuff that changes all the time like SDKs, it still beats losing your head on confusing documentation.
-the step-by-step guide on the author’s method to rank his apps includes what and where to buy, numbers you should buy each day, average prices, etc. i like it when i get specific info, rather than vague stuff.

i would rate it:

4/5 for scalability. it does require a lot of hands-on work in both research and making the apps. but once the money wheel starts spinning, you can start shooting higher. chatGPT could really be the MVP here depending on your workflow.

5/5 for “twist-ability”. once you get the hang of making apps, you can twist this in many directions. apps exist in all niches. this is my personal opinion, but once you get the hang of this, you can branch out in many directions. any project you already have going, you can probably find a clever tie-in to this to give you a little advantage.

3/5 for money requirements. you will need some money here. for dev accounts, at the very least. while its still far far far cheaper than SEO, it can still be a bit of a sum on countries with rampaging inflation like mine. this is just my opinion, but once your app is up, i think you could get your first downloads by tactfully promoting it in relevant places. i will look more into this.

2/5 automatization potential: ehh i don think this is something you can automate. you can streamline some specific stuff, but there is too much human criteria needed and i wouldnt trust a random VA with my back on this. i am ok with that tbh.

something I would like to see the seller add:

-explore other methods of advertisement. methods tailored for third-world buyers without much advertisement money, but willing to work hard and engage with communities. guys with guts just starting. for example, trying to strike a partnership with owners of tiny relevant communities (like subreddits) or tiny influencers. or just following the relevant communities and dropping the app’s name here and there. maybe make a little study of promoting a little niche app just with these kinds of resources (spamming, engaging, etc).

Just finished reading the book and I can say it was an awesome read, I will post a review soon. My first app published was back in 2015 , a match 3 game made with Unity, was rly proud of it but lack the money at the time to invest in promoting it and switched to other income streams but reading your guide rly pumped me up to give Apps another try.

If you'd be kind enough please send me a PM, I have like 2 simple questions regarding this. Thanks

@nakamura
Do you still earn from apps?
How many apps do you have atm?
Whats your experience in creating apps / coding? I mean how much knowledge, do you code also or using GUI builders and templates / drag / drop?
Do you have any real buyers who did the steps in a book and earned some money?
Is the info still valid in ebook or something has been changed and its not covered in the book?

Thanks

Hi olivier,

1. Yes, still earning and creating apps. I also have a journey thread here on BHW. Currently making around $90-150 per day.
2. At the moment around 25 apps, but will publish more soon.
3. My experience in coding is very basic. I learned the most through learning by doing.
4. I don't use GUI builders. Templates yes, but only for start.
5. Many people who are already in the app game bought the ebook, also some beginners bought it. How much action they actually took, I don't know. But the ebook also helps to avoid crucial and very costly mistakes dealing with Google AdMob and Google Play.
6. Info is all valid.

Is this ebook explain how to create the application?
Hi, it includes a section that helps to get started using specific techniques without coding skills, but this is not a beginner tutorial on creating apps from scratch. It is also not teaching coding.

@nakamura

Ok you have 25 apps published.
How much time it took for you to publish all this? Year? Two ? In other words how much time it took to get to such earnings?

What if I want earn like 10-20€ a day.
How many apps are needed for this?

And now the primary thing.
Advertising.

How much you spent when you started and where and how you advertised apps?

How much is needed to advertise my first 5 or so apps?

Hey,

if possible, lets talk via PM as this is my sales thread.

1. In total it took me 2 years, but I didn't always work on apps. I also do many other businesses (for example SEO, CPA, eCommerce, etc.). I got these earnings quite quickly, because I just went after apps with high demand and low competition.

2. For 10-20€ it just depends on the niche, not how many apps. There is no real answer to this question. One app could generate 50€ or more per day. But could also possible if you have 50 apps (and the niche is bad) you will only earn 5€ per day. There are many factors playing into this.

3. On the apps that I am earning the most, I don't spend any money on advertising. Its all organic traffic. As I mentioned above: high demand, low competition. If I want to scale an app, I could buy installs. However, I didn't for the normal apps.

For games, I use advertising to test the games and their potential.

4. It depends on the niche of your 5 apps. Financial apps for example have a much higher CPI than hypercasual games. Also if its on the Apple App Store or Google Play. iOS = more expensive.

Awesome, thanks for your purchase.

Right now I am testing a bunch of stuff for ASO and revenue optimization and will update the eBook soon, but these tests take some time to get enough data.
