The question is does google care about publishers or not if they do than there is money on the table and if not than SEO will be dead 100%.

My dad, who's in his 60s, for example, even complained when they took the Google ads from the sidebar and started mixing them with the results (and this was a while back). To me, a lot of this is like a sign that Google has lost their way in terms of a vision for their company, and they're blindly trying to follow trends, instead of setting the trend, which is what they did 20 years ago.

As for SEO being dead--If you're seriously investing all of your time in chasing organic search results in 2023 then you're simply too stubborn or not creative enough to adapt. And that's just fine, it's your life.

There are better platforms with increasing usage metrics and less competition...

So, if you're interested in fighting over part of a page that a company has a vested interest in not serving on a traffic source that isn't growing, while the competitive landscape is overrun with AI-generated content... Then go for it.

I don't mean to be rude, but your father wasn't even searching on his phone twenty years ago. They'll use whatever Google gives them. And younger kids will keep on using TikTok, YouTube, IG, and other sites for search.

No offence taken. I'm definitely not saying "all people will resist the new interface" etc, just that people do get used to a certain way of doing things.
You're absolutely right about younger people using alternative platforms, but how much purchasing power does the average 16 year old have? It's kinda niche dependent, there are still plenty of 40-60 year olds using the internet who are quite used to Google search the way it used to be, and aren't using Tiktok.

i don't think G will ever recreate lewd content and present it, it will always prefer to leave that dirty work to porn sites and limit itself to just listing them (according to backlinks strength)

What are your thoughts on this update ?

Not think seo is dead, Going forward might be different how it is done. And about this update l feel this will be helpful in filtering out the non-converting traffic just like content skimmers, or irrelevant search, I guess it wont effect the buyers traffic.
And in terms of blogging I dont feel this is too much different than rich-snippet.

What i also wonder is, how people will react to it as the way Google has trained the normies for years in using their search as a static experience and now all this AI and websites really way down the fold is a completely new experience that takes over the whole first page almost, are they going to swallow this change? I mean if i look at my boomer friends they want nothing to do with AI lol

Probably the biggest difference, however, is more backlining. Nowadays you need them for Google too, of course, but Google attaches a lot of importance to topical authority.

Bing is more like an old Google algorithm.

Exactly. And it has been that way since Hummingbird, ten years ago. Now, this new update is a strange beast altogether. I'm not sure we can still ride it. The US update still hasn't been deployed in all European countries. I wonder who can see it in Western Europe? Is it currently deployed in Germany or the United Kingdom?

SEO in not DEAD. google after update all high competition keyword and low quality content finish. target only low competition keyword and high quality content.
