This is a case study by Matthew Woodward. In the case study, ran multiple content generated by different AI tools, through seven AI and plagiarism detection tool.

Of all the AI content only ones from Frase and Jasper were not detected as AI written.

I wrote my own article yesterday, and it was also classified as AI fake by some of the tools. lol.

Sure, there are certain detection patterns, but unfortunately these tools are not perfect.

The question is what the Google engineers do with it and how they assess it.

AI generators are great for:
- Generating ideas
- Generating outlines
- Coming up with new angles
...for human writers.

From my testing, it’s clear to me that the best AI tools can come up with some amazing ideas and angles for content creation.

But when it comes to actual content writing for a website – stay away!

If Google decides to penalise sites using AI content in the future, it could completely destroy an entire website."

If ChatGPT would have an affiliate program this guy would say ChatGPT is the best.

And those are some small companies yet they detected it, why do you think google wouldn't be able to do so? Quillbot is the king, just use someone else's content and paraphrase it!

Will never trust 100% woodward since he is just marketer like us.

The case study wasn't meant to figure out whether they rank or not. Moreover Google isn't penalizing AI content yet.

I do have AI content that were published not long ago, that are on page 1. But the twist is, I don't copy verbatim from chatGPT to publish. I work on them well enough.

The fixation on NLG detection outside of an academic setting is misguided since Google doesn't even care.

But, people are free to waste their time as they see fit.
