[Journey] Quit Smoking

On the contrary, I'll never quit smoking until I die
I don't want to have a healthy death
But still, do whatever is best for you
Some of us are just too far gone :D :D :D

I'm screwed anyways, but have been making progress across the board. Big up and out the cigarettes fam.

Wish you good luck!
I want to get rid of this habit too. I’ll try to quit with you. I have tried it earlier, but didn’t get any success. I hope this time I will do it.
That's a great, read a book: Allen Carr's Easy Way To Stop Smoking

Read and analyze what he says, read it carefully and slowly, do everything what he says and it's easier and easier,

That doesn't mean that once you finish reading, magically you won't want a cig, but you will look at it differently.

Hope you join me.

Hoare you doing so far? Energy levels? Mood?

I want to quit smoking cigarettes, I want to make journey of it here to motivate myself and also others, if it's against rules, please moderator delete this thread.

So, what I got:

Health problems: Breathing, skin, teeth, sex, walking, running, swimming and etc...
Mental problems: Depression, no self love, no motivation.

I will update this thread with my progress, it's all psychology and of course nicotine addiction.

Wish me luck, will be great if I also motivate others and will get rid of this awful addiction.
Good luck! I tried some nicotin gums a while ago, they may be of great help

It's been 5 year's since I stop smoking, Trust me you can do it. I smoke from very early age and nicotine make it hard to stop.

But you can definitely quit just stop hanging out with people who smoke for some time, because when you saw someone smoking you also want to smoke. I wish you luck.

Ill show you how to quit in less than 24hrs.

Start to sweat, get pain in your left arm muscle. fall to the floor in a heap
just managing to stay conscious, call an ambulance, get rushed to hospital
with a heart attack, then taken straight into surgery to have 3 stents fitted after
you find out your left and right heart valves are BLOCKED caused by smoking.

A left valve blockage known as a window maker, has a 25% survival right.
then add the right valve blocking at the same time. i got hit with both.
that was 18 months ago, and i use to smoke 10/15 a day.

after that day Nov 23RD 2020, i havnt smoked since, my heart attack was
also Nov 23RD 2020, i dont wanna die yet, im only 52. but if you value life
quit b4 you get a heart attack, because it will happen eventually as
smoking causes plaque which blocks arteries .

Now I just have an anger and anxiety , also my mind tells me that, cig is something beautiful and I'm missing it, but I know, once I light it up, it will be a mistake.

Good is that, I don't feel that cats shitted in my mouth, you get what I mean, when you smoke for a whole day, mouth is like a toilet...

I've quit 5 times I think.
The first 72 hours are always a bitch.
After 72 hours, you start to get really emotional and have some kind of bliss, like you get joy out of everything.

That's when dopamine gets a little reset.
After 5 days you no longer have nonstop cravings.

Last time I quit, i managed to stay away from smoking for a full 2 years. Then picked it up again, then changed to vaping.

Now I vape and wish I don't. It robs me of a lot of energy.
Watching your thread for motivation or some sort )

Keep at it, remember what the book says. It's nicotine who's putting ideas in your brain.

Congrats on taking the initiative
Try to slow it down over a span of weeks
More power to you

From my experience, which I got now, I even hate smell of cigs if someone is smoking nearby,

It's easier and easier every day, of course I have cravings but you just need to think it positive way, like finaaaaallyyyy you are getting freeeeeeee!!!

I want to be honest with you guys, I have smoked yesterday, was drunk :(

Have smoked today whole day.

Tomorrow starting again... :(

Following for motivation. I’ve been trying to quit for awhile but always pick it back up. Need to quit for good…

A friend of mine quit the cigarette a year ago. But he can't maintain his spirit for long days.

So he switches to another unhealthy thing like smoking and he said yes I quit smoking. LOL

I just remember the incident when reading this post.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway, good luck with your spirit and maintain it throughout your lifetime.

And please don't be like my friend, LOL.:D

Stay committed, I already told you in my previous msg you should stay away from people who smoke, because when you saw someone smoke nicotine effect start more rapidly.

It's been five years since I quit smoking completely.

You can go cold turkey because smoking doesn't have big withdrawal symptoms unlike drinking.

Do you still have cravings? Or miss it?

Not at all, nicotine is finished, I don't feel any cravings at all. And still stay far away from people who smoke, smoking destroyed every part of your body, even tho I quit smoking 5 year's ago I won't be completely heal for many years, see? That's what smoking does to your body.

I started smoking from 10 years old maybe even more earlier.

You can do it trust me first 1 month will be little hard. I won't suggest you vaping also, just don't inhale anything.

Quick reminder, the journey starts affresh when you hit that stick of cigarette again and again. All the days you've stayed without smoking is cancelled. So are you going to smoke for another 4 days before you start the journey again? Just kidding, it's part of the healing process, you can't stop at once it'll affect you mentally. Start by reducing the amount of cigarettes you take each week instead of beginning the journey by starving your already used to ciggarate body system from ciggarate.Good luck, the fastest method to stop smoking cigarettes, smoke some weed.

Bro I stay away from people who smoke because of second hand smoking risk caused. If you don't know the meaning search in Google.

Not because I miss it or crave it.
