Congrats taking good decision in this time, one share for your health reload: Toxins from cigarettes and tobacco products are flushed out of your body with water in large quantities

My whole family smokes and it eventually caught up to me too. After 4 years I managed to quit both smoking and drinking.

My life only went upwards from that moment. Best decision I’ve ever made.

.
I want to quit smoking cigarettes, I want to make journey of it here to motivate myself and also others, if it's against rules, please moderator delete this thread.

So, what I got:

Health problems: Breathing, skin, teeth, sex, walking, running, swimming and etc...
Mental problems: Depression, no self love, no motivation.

I will update this thread with my progress, it's all psychology and of course nicotine addiction.

Wish me luck, will be great if I also motivate others and will get rid of this awful addiction.

Check out this book, somebody already recommended it. I heard many good things about it as well.

This book helped a lot.
It will make you realise how stupid smoking actually is to the point you won’t have to force yourself from avoiding it.

@Gorsky11 I had my last cigarette on 25th Feb 2022. It was a 19 year habit. I think the first thing is to realize that you need to quit, and you want to have a burning desire to do so. For me it was my son, a 7 year old repeatedly telling me how bad cigarettes are for me, and whenever I would buy a pack while he was with me he would tell me to toss it in the trash. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense. I want to live longer so I can be around for my kid.

Quitting is very hard. Nicotine is super fucking addictive. It is not like smoking weed where you can stop and the only consequence is that you want to do it. Nicotine is physically addictive. It's not just that you want to smoke but your body is actually asking for it. I am not that strong, so I started out with nicotine lozenges and replaced my smoking habit with Snus. Although it is not the best thing in the world, compared to cigarettes, Snus use is nothing.

Snus still gives me the nicotine but it saves my lungs. It's also not as bad in terms of mouth/throat cancer (based on studies). The next step for me is to transition to Nicotine patches and also break my snus habit. I am not prepared for that yet, but this is what I am going to do eventually.

I wish you luck in your journey, and know that if you are having a very hard time, there are alternatives to smoking that will keep you away from lighting a cigarette.

You can do it! The solution to all your smoking related problems is to never give up quitting! I've tried about a 100-200 times in the last 6 years and finally gave up on it 3 months ago, using vaporizers (much more healthy than smoking, still gives nicotine but without all the cancer causing boosters that they add to cigarettes).

I know people make fun of me for it but at least I solved my health problems described in your thread. Dude, cigarettes suck. They cause major health problems. So goodluck and never give up!! :D

I just wanted to share a quick update on my journey with quitting smoking.

I recently had a moment where I relapsed and picked up smoking again, but I’m proud to say that I’ve been back on track for the past six days. Honestly, I feel fantastic. The cravings are manageable, and sometimes I even forget that I’ve quit, which is a great sign of progress.

There are still moments when I get a craving, but they’re nothing I can’t handle. The biggest takeaway for me is how much better I feel and how much more in control I am.

For anyone else who’s on this journey or thinking about quitting, hang in there. It’s challenging, but the rewards are so worth it.

Quite smoking choice is good
Because smoking injured your inner part of lungs and this is not good
So, please avoide smoking

Quite smoking

Quitting smoking was surprisingly easy for me. Once you realize you don’t actually care about anything but the nicotine it’s not hard to switch to vaping. After I switched to that for about a month at most I totally quit. I realized I didn’t want any of it . Haven’t cared about it since.

Hope you stop caring about it forever.

Yes, it's nicotine and also moments when you used to smoke, like waking up, or after meal, but you forgot about that as well time by time, so it gets easier each day!
