I got a feature suggestion..i don't know if this is already available in scrapebox or any blog commenting softwares..

Is it possible to have some sort of "personalized" comment wherein the domain of the blog we will be commenting on will be included in the comment?

sample comment: blah blah blah blah <targetblogdomain.com> blah blah blah

:D

Yes we should have codes like that! -
Hi <author name>, i just loved your blog - ?<blog url> and <post title> is one of the best posts by you! :)

ahh variables, got to love them

btw does anyone know if the whois plugin is working yet? i haven't had the time to set up scrapebox again since my dedicated server plan expired

Well I have been running so many instances of scrapebox on my laptop that it has been getting so hot that it won't even charge the battery and you can't touch it comfortably. LOL. I had to go by a cooling pad for my laptop. All good now and running SB like crazy.

Just sharing.

Bought ScrapeBox - an impressive tool for the small investment.

I've had to keep a close eye on my bandwidth usage on the metered services, if that's what you mean. I've run some tests with WireShark to see what kind of bandwidth each activity in SB uses and posted a few of those results earlier, I can post more results if people are interested.

Also, I've taken to not using my paid proxies at all for search engine scraping. I use a mix of SB harvested free proxies and some other proxies that have no bandwidth quota on them when I'm harvesting URL's, checking PR, etc. I get really good results from it, and haven't gotten banned once from any of the SE's using those proxies for harvesting.

Then I use my paid proxies for commenting.

peace,
gregs.

I'd be interested in seeing so more results.

Congrats!

When I finally purchased I ended up eating a bag of Doritos, box of Club crackers and cheese, lunch and supper in front of my main PC ... just reading, watching videos and learning! lol, spent like 12 hours zombie-fied in front of it.

Then, I slept, got up and typed out my approach with each domain/website and how I would use SB for it... that really helped, and more importantly, it is working beyond my best hopes...way beyond.

I suggest a big ole' bag of oreos (or your favorite cookies), milk and lots of coffee and reading... once you see how simple it is you will want to go crazy with the power of the Scrapebox Beast, but ... form a structured plan of attack and you will see better long term benefits.

Okay cool, I'll fire up wireshark on my dedicated scrapebox-box (lol) and gather some results. I'll post them in a new thread, I think this one is quite long enough (no knock on it, lots and lots of good info here, but for those interested, I'll post a new thread with periodic updates on bandwidth usage).

I think the results will be interesting, though also highly variable depending on what we're doing. If others want to contribute to the thread I start, please do - I think the more info we gather the more useful it will be. WireShark is a free download from:

http://www.wireshark.org

and can show you all kinds of interesting info about your bandwidth usage. Also very helpful if you ever fear your computer has been harvested by a botnet or the like and want to sniff all the packets that are being sent or received.

peace,
gregs.

that is what i am doing right now!!! my eyes hurt!!!

Another feature suggestion:

Scrapebox will scan the latest (or can be random) commentor's name and include it in the comment so that the comment will be directed to someone who previously commented on the target blog.

sample comment: @<commentor's name> blah blah blah

This can be the sickest anti-spamming measure (I think) for scrapebox if this would be implemented :D

Feature request:

When running multiple instances, it can get confusing as to which window is doing what... it would be nice if a title or the application environment name would be displayed in the top bar.

Wow, no valid license on my software now. I can't use scrapebox now. Servers are down again? :(

mine is working as of a second ago :) not sure if it was down but thought i would check for you scottlies.

No problems:

Every 60 seconds a string on a page generated by MySql at each server is checked, which means if Apache/MySql/DNS etc is down my desktop gets flooded with alerts within 1 minute.

I also have custom graphic on the CPU/RAM/TCP connections, and warnings are sent if they reach values i've defined.

There is absolutely no problems with anything, i can see traffics been hitting the servers from all round the world just fine.

Absolutely no issues with my Scrapebox. It works like a dream. Just need to find a new niche and site to promote.

I had the same problem which i overcame by just typing a name for each instance in the Harvester window, where you would normally type a custom footprint. If you are not scarping custom footprints and just posting etc then that little box dont get used, so just type your instance name in there

v1.12.0 Uploaded

  • Captcha Breaking with Decaptcher.com
  • Accurate Mode for BlogEngine.
  • Automatic Math Question Solving
  • Handling for Intense Debate and Disqus Powered Comment Forms
  • Check Indexed in Yahoo and Bing.
  • Comment WYSIWYG Editor Rewritten.
  • Increased Comment Size (was 1,024 now 5,800).
  • Alive Checker can Export/Transfer Dead URL's.
  • Numerous Fixes and Enhancements.

Ok a few things, the BlogEngine platform has a new mode "Accurate Mode" and indeed it's accurate testing is producing results around the 90% mark and the ones that fail are typically 404, Closed Comments etc. so this new accurate mode is essentially nailing close to 100% of valid targets.

Now the downside, ScrapeBox needs focus in this mode so what this means is it's ideal when your PC is not in use. You can of course use the old BlogEngine method if this is a problem.

Actually there's probably more things in this update i forgot. Oh yeah, also this has a better system for load balancing to ensure as best as possible there will never be connectivity issues like the other day with the Datacenter power outage.

Needless to say, a recommended update.
