I would like to purchase this for a new website I am trying to promote which also has a blog attached to it. I am just wondering if this will get my ip and blog banned from google or banned from commenting on other WP blogs.

Is the goal to use this for a while to get links, get banned by askimet and then simply not be allowed to post on blogs again?
Will this tool get my website banned from google if i use it sparingly?

I actually paid for a design of a lead capture site, so i dont want that to go to waste, any feedback on this would be appreciated?

Is anyone able to run more than one instance of scrapebox at a time on the same computer? I know its possible, but anytime I do, one of the instances will stop responding at some point, though not right away.

Im having a really good success rate with BlogEngine posting, but it takes forever in browser simulation mode. Having multiple scrapeboxes running would really be great!

ScrapeBox writes to log files in it's directory as it's running, for the fast/slow posters one for success and another for failed also one for each engine when harvesting.

So your problem is occurring because both instances are fighting over the file reading/writing/saving process. So if you want to run two (or more) instances create multiple copies:

/scrapebox1/
/scrapebox2/

And so on like that, the minimum bits and pieces you want in each instances folder are:

scrapebox.exe
scrapebox.ini (optional if you want to retain your custom settings)
footprints.ini (optional if you want to retain your custom footprint library)
/Blacklist/ (optional if you want to use the blacklist)

Speaking of the Blacklist i've had one user (thanks Brent) who's been forwarding me trojan domains he comes across each day when using SB, i've visited each and confirmed they contain malware and added them to the cloud so it's a good idea to update it and enable it.

i am waiting for the captcha integration.at that point a whole new universe would be open:)

sweetfunny can you give us an approximative date for this update?
1 week- 2 weeks....1 month?

how long?

The hold up has been BlogEngine has released an update v1.6 on 1st Feb and it can be damn hard to post to. A solution has been found which is "very" accurate but has some downsides, so it's taking a little longer than expected. As for spam plugins:

With numcaptcha, si-captcha, wpspamfree and wphashcash all enabled on a blog at the same time.. ScrapeBox can successfully comment to it. :)

is the link checker working for you guys?

im trying to check links for a blast i just did and every 'found' comment is not there at all.

Maybe the proxy is caching the pages from the comment run, and when checking the links the proxy is serving the cache?

Try this, untick proxies then restart ScrapeBox because when SB shuts down it also destroys all cookies/cache data to eliminate any tracks then run the Link Checker again with no proxies.

Thanks sweetfunny - it works perfectly now! Great program :)

but the point is...why not to integrate a service like decaptcher.com too?
i have read in previous posts that you wanted to add this....have you changed your mind about this?

No it's already added to the dev build, you can even get your Decaptcha account balance from within ScrapeBox.

@sweetfunny.
about blogengine: so is it useless for us to harvest for blogengine blogs now considering we cannot post there? right?

ok because i was searching for this option on scrapebox but i was unable to find it.

i do not need an exact date just an approximative one:)

I am posting to Blog engine Blogs right now.. I think you misunderstood :)

Feature suggestion:

After we have commented and generated a report, it would be nice to have a way to see if the spam sticked. :) So a plugin could get the list, ask for a text to check if it is there and go check each page.

This way, we could run the list 2 days later and see the true success rate!

Minor Detail:
Could we have a switch to turn off the annoying confirmation message when we press the remove duplicate urls? :)

Thanks!

You can already do this. Once you've run the commenter, export the list of suessful blogs. Then a few days later, you can use the Check Links feature to import the list of blogs and your websites to see if they're found on the blog.

Thanks, it was in front of my eyes. :D

How to reset router?

With many routers, there is a small, recessed button on the back of it. It may or may not say "Reset" above the button. Holding in the button for about 10 seconds resets the router.

If you cannot find the button, perhaps a certain search engine that rhymes with Loogle could help you find the instructions.

Keep in mind, resetting the router wipes out your config, so after resetting you are advised to re-enable security and reset your password from the default, which is probably "password". Unless you enjoy having a password that is easily guessed.

Over-use of this or any other tool will results in ban hammers raining down from the sky. A lot of noobs (myself included when I first got it) go absolutely batshiat crazy @ first, commenting on 100's of thousands of blogs because it is so damned easy to do so. The app can be like a smart bomb if you know how to use it, nailing targets in a precise manner, or it can be like a tiger riding an elephant, and the tiger is armed with 2 AK-47's, just trampling and shooting and eating everything in its path, if you want to use it that way.

But you seem like a reasonable type, asking this question beforehand. As for your IP, use proxies - free, paid, a mix, whichever - just use proxies to keep the ban man away from your real IP. Make sure they're anonymous proxies (SB's proxy harvester includes an IP Test that checks things like whether a proxy is leaking your IP address, and paid anonymous proxies are always nice to have).

As for the Big G et al., if you use it sparingly or judiciously, you can dance their dance and probably get away with it. As for your URL, the best advice on that front I've seen is to get yourself a parasite domain (think of a .info for a dollar, or some crap site you have that you don't really care about), use SB to drop backlinks to it, and 301 forward it to your money site. Then when Akismet drops the ban hammer (it happens, they're currently the bane of my existence), it will only fall on your parasite domain.

There's a lot of other good advice in this thread, and a pretty decent SB user base if I do say so myself, to help you out.

peace,
gregs.

dose anyone know how to inflate veiws for articlesbase?? as i can't do it with SB

Hmmm, interesting - I've not tried that myself. But, would it be that different from inflating views to ezinearticles? There's a video or two about that on the SB youtube channel. Might give you some ideas.

peace,
gregs.
