So basically I am working on something like tube script with baked in hosting and I have trouble deciding on what to implement in terms of video hosting. I have 2 options:
1. The easiest solution is to give an option to scaffold tube with embeds from large sites, but then must give up on thumbnail previews and custom video player design.
2. Other option is to scrap actual videos from the sites on demand and distribute them via CDN. This way I get custom player design, no broken links and interactive thumbnails. The downsides of this option is that it will be much pricier + potential legal issues.
Tell me, please, if my concerns are real and what end users expect from such tube scripts in terms of subjects above?
P.S. If it is possible, can anyone please tell what is the bare minimum (without unnecessary bloat) functionality that users of such scripts expect to have?
Thank everyone in advance!
