Hello @N1ckG2,
read the whole thread and it seems really interesting.
A couple of questions if you don't mind:

- How much approx did you spend when you say: bought the app from XXX and got it re-skinned by YYY
plus advertisement marketing etc, and how much was the ROI?

- Can I make some cash even with cheap apps bought from Fiver for example? That owuld be the plan and then re invest in more
sophisticated apps/games.

-Would it be better to get the app first and do the ranking accordingly or vice-versa?

Thanks in advance.

My honest review:

The story about Dave's project: very motivating from the beginning.

Detailed use of the tools and tips on how to get the trials, and depending on thetool extend it.

At the end of each paragraph there is a resume of what you learned. Always recap all the steps and what you learned.

Can't say much as I read in one go and didn't apply all the steps, If I was to follow the guide on the go it would be much easier.

The only thing I would change is the graphic and the formatting.

For everything else, all good.

Thank you for the questions. I answered you in private, but let me post here so that other people can read my answers.

I started with a bundle of 3 games I bought from XYZ. I knew nothing about apps, reskin and Google play. Out of the 3 games I liked only one, contacted the owner and was referred to a sinior developer who reskined the game and made some changes for about $500. It was a very good reskin, I pubished it and started working on marketing.

- Can I make some cash even with cheap apps bought from Fiver for example? That owuld be the plan and then re invest in more

Yes you can. You can find a niche with apps on a subscription and make something similar. There is a chapter in the guide on market research and keyword research and I teach you how to check how much other apps and games make (on average, no tool is perfect)

It is always better to market research first, in any business.

The worst thing you can do is work hard on a thing you like and believe in. Never do it. Always validate your ideas.

If you are just starting out yes, you can find an app, publish it and test but this is going to be a waste of time. Why don't you first check what works, find something similar, improve it (not unti you like it, but after reading user feedback, check what they don't like or want, add it to your app and highlight this in the app short description)?

Let me know if you have more questions. I am here to stay and help you the best I can.

Thank you for your positive review! I am glad you like it!

Yes, I am not a designer and my goal is to provide value. I will try to improve it. Thank you for your feedback!

I have been in the app business for a while now but always want to learn.
So I would appreciate a discount or a review if you wish.

I ordered this guide at the beginning of April and i LOVE IT!

This is a detailed how to guide.

There is a research, optimization and ranking advice.

Initially i skipped the research part as I already have apps but i was wrong with this and David helped me find new keywords and optimize my app name and description. Dont underestimate the power of ASO - this is free traffic when done right. Also, I noticed lower cpi for FB ads when I changed the app name - this is not a documented function and nobody actually talks about this (as I know) but it worked well for me.

As for the ranking in the top 10 on google play - this is possible, the method works but it is important to do your research and select the right keywords to target. If your app is new, or not getting much organic traffic you need to find low - to - mid competitive keywords, optimize your app name and description and wait for a week (this is what I did).

Then you need to implement the method (I cant reveal it in public) and wait until you see rank increase for these keywords. Then you scale and reach top 10 (mine got in top 3 for 5 keywords).

First I was not so happy because these were low traffic keywords but since this is free traffic it was okay.

Them I switched to better keywords - changed the name again and did what Dave advice in the guide and the app started to get more traffic.

This, combined with lower cpi with FB ads did the job and my app is currently in top 10 in my category in Canada (traffic from Canada is just as good as USA traffic, or even better) and I am on my way to get in top 10 in the USA.

If you are in app business, or you plan to start with apps, this is the Guide you need. Recommended!
