I think I quit cigs like.. idk.. I think 11 or 12 years ago. Hard to remember the last times I smoked any. It's been a while.
Awww.. Look at us. All healthy n shit.
Oh yes definitely man. There was a time I needed like 50 cigarettes a day. I technically was dependent on them.

Now it's amazing. 11-12 years is awesome :)

Any advice on how you dropped the cig?
@prey24 . easy 1 minute i was eating pizza and smoking
next i was sweating with pain in my left arm and stomach ache
then i was on all 4s crawling to the bedroom for my wife, i called
999 while crawling to wake my wife....i remained awake during the attack

straight to hospital - straight into emergency surgery as both
my hearts 2 main main arteries where blocked requiring stents
i almost died.

when a heart surgeon saves your life , and later that day says
if you wanna live a bit longer, quit smoking , eat better & exercise
you do it............its that simple

OP, you got this dont stress! - personally, I only ever smoked when going out to pubs/clubs. These days I'm older and being healthy and advice anyone to do the same.

Counting calories has honestly been a game changer for me I was 15st around 6 months ago, now I'm 13st 6lbs and still eat nice foods.

Download the MyFitnessPal app, it's completely free and easy to use, I buy lower calorie oven meals that taste delicious and give myself a 2000 daily calorie deficit, it works perfectly if you skip breakfast and eat a healthy lunch.

Here's my routine:

- Skip breakfast
- Lunch: Two pieces toast (brown bread) × cup of tea (two sweetners)
- Dinner: Lower calorie 300/600 (max)

I walk my kid to school and back, I also walk for an hour a day and then take the dog oit for a walk once or twice too. It's an easy schedule to follow and you'll feel much better for it.

I'm only sharing this in the hope it can help even one person, my life has changed a lot since counting calories. You got this OP don't worry because we can all adjust our lifestyles.

Just saw it poping up in the homepage and thought to myself "oh shit, again?" Just then I saw that this is the same old thread.

Same here after I wrote my reply, not bothered though as want to spread the word. It's easy to lose weight and get fit.

For me, it was the ever-increasing price tag. I think everyone ultimately needs to find their own "why", but that was mine.
Well, that, and I also learned that for men, smoking causes a slight reduction in size.

Hey sorry for responding to this just now but here are some recommendations i can give you as my brother has master's degree or PhD in nutrition:
Eat Brazilian Nuts (Just 2-3 a day you must not eat more)
Ashwagandha reduces cortisol levels in your body, reducing stress and its symptoms like elevated blood pressure and heart rate
Garlic Really healthy, has a lot of antioxidants and also is really good for high blood pressure
Ginger and Onions (I eat both raw)
Drink a lot of water, try not drinking tap water as it has a lot of bad stuff in it, better buy water in shop in glass bottles so that you don't drink water with plastic in it.
Stretch and Walk
If you can go to gym and try building some muscle since if oyu have more muscle you take off pressure of your heart pumping blood because blood has more places to go to
Eat as less salt as possible, Serbia my cuontry, most deaths come frmo heart problems but then you look at statistics and at average we eat 118g of salt a day which is almost 10 times more than what is allowed, i don't think it's much diffirent in usa/uk wherever you're from.
Avoid fast foods, sodas and such stuff i don't need to explain why, they're straight up poison
Avoid GMO & Artificial sweeteners (Doctors couldn't find me the reason but whenever i started eating protein powder with AS in them i'd have high blood pressure and more than 100 Hear beats per minute and couldn't sleep because of it, it might affect other people the same and all in all it's found to cause cancers in rats.
Goji berries eat them as well as they're good for cholesterol and lipid profiles
Eat as much pomegranate as possible it's one of the best foods for overall and especially good for heart pomegranate can improve blood flow, reduce arterial blood clots, and modestly lower cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood pressure.
