I tried putting some links in some of my old reddit posts that weren't archived but they are no follow links so no juice will flow to those links. However hope they can bring some traffic.

Sometimes Google re-indexes old posts. You can also try to submit your posts to an indexer.

I won't recommend specific forums as they might get saturated or the admins might figure out this method.
Also, nofollow links are not completely useless. Don't worry too much. A nofollow link from a good forum is better than nothing.

Some popular forums also have moderation check on edits. I logged to some old profiles and editet signature and added link there, it also ont be 100% success.

You edit your post, then a moderator will come who's already frustrated with his own life and give your infraction and warning.

I have a list of forums that I use, that I have marked which ones you can edit, and it's certainly quite a lot more than you would expect, although there isn't loads, mostly really the ones that the owner is maybe doing it for fun, rather than a commercial profit. You have to phrase your answer in a way that will allow you later to add the link, without it being noticeable. That boils down to being in the right forum, right section, with the relevant question or answer to your site. The more lax a site though, the more chance the forum itself won't be around forever. I'm sure newer forum owners will be more savvy as the years go on, to remove this edit after post function. Worth doing while its here though! In some niches, I have seen 70% of the forums edit after post, but not all are as good as that.

Some of the posts I edited were years old. I got the idea when I got a newsletter from an old forum. I logged in after years and put a link on my profile.
Then I tried to edit an old post and it worked. Of course, not all forums allow it. On most forums you can't edit posts after a certan period of time.

Do you have any recommendations for an "indexer" to use? I've never used one before.
