[SUGGESTION] Make review copies first come first serve ONLY.

People post positive reviews even when they know the service is bad. I for one do that.

Why? Because if I leave bad reviews on majority of services, no one will select me for a review copy, and then I have to pay to test new services. And it's definitely not on my agenda to willingly pay for what could be a trash service.

Making review copies first come first server ONLY would eradicate this issue. Doesn't need any new development adding on the site, just a nice simple rule. Then sellers can't avoid giving us review copies if we review honestly.

Nothing worse than doing this, because every genuine buyer will possibly end up with garbage but after reading your positive review decided to buy.

But if it's not up to my standards, if I think it's too the standards of the majority of BHW, then I'll give them a break and say it's good. I have to try and balance my ability to receive review copies with the reviews I provide. If I'm to honest, I won't get review copies anymore and then I'd be unable to post the truth. And If I'm too lenient, I'm doing my morality an injustice.

Which is why I feel this rule should be implemented.

Agreed, but because people can pick who reviews. If I try 5 bad services in a row, and I leave 5 bad reviews. No seller is going to want me to review their service. And they are just going to pick people who provide good reviews. So you get the same scenario occur.

People who come first in 90% cases, they really are not needy. They never reply to pm, wait 3 days to reply and so on.

Understood, I offered what I feel is a decent solution in here as a suggestion. That I feel would work for a lot of people.

It's not just me who does this, I'm pretty certain. Solutions are the best way to deal with problems IMO. And I think solutions coming from the problem people are sometimes the best solutions.

As always, there could be flaws in my suggestion. But I've only posted it because I don't like what I do.

Correct, and I fully agree. But I know there will be sellers on here that don't see the true opportunity for honest reviews. And just see that flashy "10/10 fantastic reviews" that they want to get the sales in. And they might actually have a good service, they might not.

I mean look at amazon, the fake reviews an infestation, because it works. People on here know that it works.

And I think choosing your own reviews, is basically enabling false reviews. Not in the sense that you are telling them to leave a false review, but because your not choosing the people who will leave a bad review. I personally feel that's just as bad. It's not a real honest review if the seller already knows that a good review is coming. And regardless of my reviews, they have tons and tons of other members that they can use to get those good reviews. I'm a spec of dust in the big picture.

But let's just agree on something, most sellers on BHW are not good. The decent sellers are definitely in the minority on this forum. That means all the bad sellers will avoid people who leave honest reviews. And thus the cycle continues.

If you opened a Michelin Star restaurant, who would you want to come and review the food and service? A food critic / a chef or the first in line at MacDonalds?

If you were launching a new range of fine wines / champagne, do you want a wine connoisseur, other professional tasters, sommeliers there for the tasting who will write about the aromas, tannins, colours etc. Or the first in the queue who drinks in Wetherspoons and pays £2.99 a bottle in Aldi?
