[SUGGESTION] Make review copies first come first serve ONLY.

About first come first serve, it may happen that before offering a review copy a seller may ask his favorite buyers to get ready and claim.

Then, it would be a bigger problem. And tons of positive reviews instead of honest.

As of now free reviewers say that they will write what they feel after comparing price quality with others.
 
I was writing a detailed post on the subject, trying to be productive but then I realized that I'm just wasting my time here.

You banning the original poster for being honest and offering you a solution about something which 90% of the "VIP" members do while you're making owl eyes as if that's some big news to you is the worst possible move you could have made here, guaranteeing you that anyone being honest with you will not happen again.

You are wrong. He admitted it. For example let’s say that a stupid politician admits in court that he steals. He will be jailed. Instead a real politician always lies and steal without leaving traces and it’s respected in the community. So the Op was naive and deserved the ban. Life lesson. Never be 100% sincere.
 
I would suggest we do away with free review copies. Seller to only post reviews from the real buyers. Just like e-commerce stores.

Honestly if buyers are more Honest to leave reviews (rather not leaving one) & leave their Honest reviews then no one would have to be so Honest as OP had to be.

Why? Because if I leave bad reviews on majority of services, no one will select me for a review copy, and then I have to pay to test new services. And it's definitely not on my agenda to willingly pay for what could be a trash service.

Wow, not even trying to hide that he is lying for his own personal gain. Making people potentially lose websites and money, just because they trusted his lies.

The last part baffles me too. The amount of disrespect and lack of empathy for others on the forum is astounding.

Good to see moderators taking action on people like this.

Its like saying you robbed multiple banks but you owned up randomly and you kinda don't regret it but you want things to change somehow whilst still thinking what you did was "ok".

It's good he was honest I would say but Honesty comes at a price. He may be banned but he will be at peace of his mind, can now have a good sleep.

I mean he was honest but after how long? does it really matter now? also from the way he was talking about it, he didn't seem to care much or at least kinda really say sorry for deceiving people on reviews that may have not been true.

Except 90% of the customers are robbing the bank and the bank robber just offered a solution to that problem. This is one bank robber( free positive only reviewer) out of a 1,000.

If the admins aren't able to understand that someone coming out with it benefits the platform and how taking action against honest feedback and solutions harms the ability to solve problems, then the platform is not worth taking seriously and is bound to decay.

I won't waste more of my time here.

The damage has already been done. A lot of people probably lost money because of him. He deceived and lied, not thinking about others.

I also don't think it has anything to do with "peace of his mind" or "honest comes at a price". He just slipped up, he accidentally said too much about what he was doing and now have to pay for that. It's not like he came forward and said "sorry guys, I've been doing so and so".

I've had many arguments with this guy. I'm not surprised at all that he's been doing this, It's exactly what I would expect. I have highlighted his lies and "two-face"-posting several times on the forum.

I mean the whole point of reviewing is to be honest, you cant really defend him in any way, but how do you expect the admins/moderators to keep this in check that reviewers are really being truthful? You can't, we have to have a mutual trust with the community and everybody if posting reviews and if found faking reviews I am sorry but you don't deserve anything than a ban in my opinion, also the guy wasn't even sorry at all from the way he was talking about it, at least apologise to the people he may have deceived into wasting money maybe.

If you have a suggestion to prevent this what do you think could be done differently?

I was actually being sarcastic with my comment there nothing serious. It's funny how someone is justifying OP's honesty just like those thieves in India who stole some cartoons from a hospital but next day returned it at a police station with a note saying "Sorry didn't know there were covid vaccines". Those vaccines were useless now it didn't matter if it was returned in good faith.

First of all talking of Bank & Customers and customers robbing bank that's funny Reality is customers are robbed by the bank.

No the Mods and admins don't need to understand anything when there already rules for everything. Rules are rules and need to be equally applied to everyone doesn't matter who you are and what are your intentions. One exception sets a bad precedent for future.
