Will parasite rank fast also with custom domain?

Hi everybody,

thanks for checking in, I read a lot about parasites and how they rank fast (shoutout for @Rachmaninoff and other members for sharing this info), and sometimes even outrank the money site for the same KW.

my question is will parasite rank fast not only with the generic domain (“name”.blogger.com for example) but also with custom domain like mydomain.com on top of blogger.com?

This is an interesting question that I once asked myself.

The reason parasites rank(fast or not) is as a result of inheriting some domain authority from their parent domain. The moment you choose to go with a custom domain, to the best of my understanding you've lost that inherited authority.
So, in my opinion it won't rank the way it would if left as is.

By the way, blogger isn't a parasite. In fact blogger sites wether custom domain or not follow the same exact rules as your regular WordPress site with respect to ranking. This isn't the case with actual parasites.
Blogger can best be described as a web 2.0 site.

Yes, parasites will generally rank faster because the parent domain has a good DA. But when you post a web 2.0 blogger or WordPress site on a parasite, you don’t expect the same results. Your custom domain will do better rank wise than your blogger site.
