Have you tried to change your audience?

We have tried everything. We have talked with countless of fb technicians, but to no avail. The problem isn't at the ad set level, believe me. We have even tried putting daily budgets of 1000€ on both broad audiences and 1% lookalikes, and the estimated conversions didn't change from 0.

I am beginning to think the problem could reside in the pixel. But how could I check it?

This problem is not in a pixel. Most likely, your audience is no longer interested in the product and you need to look for new approaches to get them interested again. Increasing your budget will not help to solve this problem.
Best ways to get started on Greyhat campaigns?
A more specific question is needed.
What are grey hat campaigns?
Gambling,betting,crypto, adult for example

Do you have any suggestion for those approaches?

Change the approach to advertising, change the audience

I know, but the problem is as follows: it doesn't matter that I put a daily budget of 1.000€, that the estimated conversions are going to be 0, regardless of the audience segmentation. We have a general problem with facebook. It doesn't matter what do we put at ad set level or at ad level, that our estimated conversiones are going to be 0.

And when our estimated conversiones are 0, we don't get any conversions. Most of the times, FB doesn't even allow us to publish new campaigns because of those estimated conversions.

This started happening one month ago. The most startling case was when our estimated conversions dropped to 0, from one day to the other, in one of our best campaigns.

We are in a critical situation right now, and no one, not even facebook technicians, seems to know what is going on in our account.

Thank you for your reply, anyway.

Hi mate,

I am running campaign on FB Ads, but results a bit puzzling. Indeed very few sales, around 0.5% sales for pages visits. I am assuming i am targeting the right audience (sell lingerie products > women 30-54 age, interests Lingerie + Online shopping)

The main question is : how should i set the 'conversion event' in the ad set ? And WHY should i set it one way or another....

There are plenty of completely contradictory informations.

Some guys say 'feed the pixel with trigged conversion events' some other guys say 'set the conversion event where your business objective is'...... that's very different approches, though....

So basically, some say this setup is of no use and just setup to 'Purchase' and others say 'this setup is important so that FB Pixel learns'......

Actually i tried different setup, it seems there is mostly problem with the quality of traffic that Facebook send with the 'add to cart' event >>> lots of add to cart, but zero initiate checkout, zero registration, zero payment infos, zero purchase................... Just 'add to cart' and bye bye..... The only good thing seems that we have some greens for the conversion event itself (but is 'green/triggered' means 'learning' ?)....

1601781465397.png

I tried 'add payment info' yesterday, got 5 emails out of 210 visits.... and only one sale.... (0.05% rate).... CTR not that bad around 8%.... But ultimately i spend 60euros and got back 25euros (so lost 35euros)......

Basically here, we have very few greens, so we cannot use the lookalike audience strategy..... My idea, maybe, would be to trigger many 'add to cart' and combine this event with another customed one like 'the visitor visited the website more than 2 minutes) to filter the 'green lights' audience quality, then next step make a lookalike..... But all of that seems quite complicated when we know that Facebook knows very well who buy lingerie products, and who does not..........

Any suggestion (mostly on the conversion event setup)?

Thanks

Hm.. Tell me, please, have you tried to communicate with technical support? Do you sell whitehat goods? Or did you try to create an advertisement from another advertising office? Facebook may have flagged your account as suspicious and because of this such low conversion rates

1. Do you use tools for analytics? So you could understand why people leave the site.
2. If you are working for the long term, you should set the pixel to different events.
3. Purchase, adding to the cart is a necessary part for the work.
4. To start with, try to launch an advertising campaign on those who just click on the link so that the pixel can understand who the potential client is. At the same time there will be events "adding to the cart", you can start retargeting to this audience with a unique offer, so that they have already purchased the product.

1. well i use analytics, but there is plenty of factors... what should i check with the analytics to know why people leave the site ? ....
2. yesterday i set 'initiate checkout' event... there where a problem since beginning with this event, i saw it was not triggering relating to the 'checkout page' but another page ('checkout summary' which is not relevant), so i modified the code of the pixel module of my website (prestashop) to trigger the right page relating to the right event. I then set up 'initiate checkout' but no results at all after 100 clicks (just 2 abandonned carts)................. This bad result might be related to the fact that the pixel was not correctly configured at first, but not sure...
I am asking myself if i should not start a new fresh pixel cause the last one was not correctly configured regarding this 'initiate checkout' event.... (this make a 'hole' in the data conversion journey).... but without clear mappping of algorithm, all of this is just hypothesis, i hate hypothesis i like facts and knowledge. And it mean i should start all from zero, wasting money, again...
3. if i set one lower event conversion (add to cart) i will drive, again, low quality traffic.... people won't add any information, won't initiate anything, that super low quality traffic...... I cannot event retarget with my mailing reminder 'abandoned cart'............
I don't get why the Pixel doesn't learn the same if i set 'purchase' or 'add payment information'
4. yes i did launch another campaign(s) with people who just click on the link, and even people who just saw the video 50% of the time..... and people who just add to cart.... But it doesn't change the core question, algorithm should instantly know who does what, this is why there is plenty of events triggered on each conversion journey !..........

Now 200+ dollars, 800 clicks, CTR 8%, bounce rate 45%..... 6emails captured, 3 sales..... In terms of sales and customers acquisition, it's really mediocre results in my humble opinion....

The only mitigate/good results where with the 'add payment info' event.... But FB told me the learning dynamics was not 'good' enough (little flag) in terms of conversions (just 4-5 conversions after 1 and half day and 100 dollars budget)..........

All of this looks like adding layers of complexity and hypothesis to something that is quite clear and simple.... The pixel should learn from all events triggered, whatever is the conversion event set... If not, this is just money scam disguised behind algorithms and funnel marketers/religious scientists... And if there is so much contradictory / unclear information about the way we should set these events, there is clearly something wrong about it. Either FB explains clearly how works the algorithm, or not.....

We are communicating with them almost in a daily basis.

We sell handmade and low cost products, 100% whitehat.

I have mostly been working from home since covid entered our lives. I started splitting my working day since mid september, half the day at the office, and the rest at home. Is this really an issue?

Perhaps your clients are not satisfied with the price or a certain block on the site.
Create a new pixel, put different events on your site so that they work correctly. Depending on your setting, you can achieve both very good and bad results. Tests are needed. You can't get the best results instantly.

Facebook does not welcome changes in the location of advertising launches. This is considered as a suspicious action to block

Actually, this started happening around two weeks before I started going back to the office. I remember the first time this happened was at the end of August. It was ~two weeks later that I went back to the office.

Have you tried to launch ads from another account?

Hi @dontfarm

I have some questions to ask:

1. If my budget is $10 per day, what is the right number of audience per adset? and how many in total across all the adsets?

2. According to FB Power 5 rules, best to have 2 - 5 adsets, is this true? What is the best number of adsets and ads?

3. Is it better to use auto placement or manual placement? If I select only certain placements, will that cause my ads to be more expensive?

4. Is it doing niche targeting with layering will cause ads to be more expensive vs those not many filters?

5. What is the maximum % of audience overlapped that I can have amongst adsets? Should I apply the rule to amongst campaigns too?

6. Can I do 2 campaigns with different ads objective but targeting to same audience? As this will overlapped 100%, so will it affecting the ads cost?

7. What is the maximum frequency number that I should watch for? If I reach the max number of Frequency, should I stop my ads?

8. How do you benchmark your cost per results if it is expensive or not? How to compare if it is a new ads?

Sorry to bombard you with so many questions but really hope to know your pov.

Thanks
.

Have you tried to launch ads from another account?

Yes. This happens to me, to my superior, and to a personal account I have, which I don't use at all but can connect to the business' pixel.

Today I have upped the budget. Total budget of 50.000€ for 20 days. Zero estimated conversions :(

1. Unfortunately, with a budget of $10, few results can be achieved. Most likely, there will be only one audience
2. Yes, the best is 2-5 ads.
3. Manual placement.
4. Yes, it is better to use more filters for advertising.
5. There is no defined percentage. There are a large number of audiences on facebook
6. If the audience is large, it is unlikely that ads will be shown to the same people. Yes, you can launch 2 campaigns
7. 2.5-3
8. If we see that an ad gives results and leads, we continue to work with it and optimize it for advertising. It's simple.

In this case, I recommend contacting an advertising agency that can launch your ads and you compare the results.

This is actually what he have been talking about as of late. Just temporarily, and to be sure where the problem may lie.

Thank you for all your inputs.

@dontfarm

Thank you for the answer. However,I need to clarify for Question 1, what I wanna know is

If my budget is small, assuming I can reach daily about 1000 people only and I need my ads to run for 2 weeks.

What is a good number of audience I should be targeted?

100k? 200k? 500k? or 50k will do?

Any idea? Based on your experience how is it?

Thanks
