I've already bought a squat rack/bench.

And today the weight plates and the barbell arrived.

These aren't the best quality plates tho. But It'll do the job.

Let's celebrate ️️️️::D:D

There is a lot more to do. But I'm super pumped. :D

Who here has a similar setup?

I was thinking about doing the same, what was your budget?

UK or EU? (I hope) where did you get the weight bench? I'm after a new one :) Can't find one for love no money

Why not build your own setup?

I was inspired by this
https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/tutorial-how-to-make-1000-a-day-during-covid-19-easy.1218381/

Although I think many would over build it (I know I would) I want to know 1000% that when I drop 100kg+ the rack is going to support and take that load and shock and not bring it crashing down on me as well as all the 2x4

and my bed. That's all

I have one as well. Especially in the Corona-Times when my gym where i have a membership was locked (its open again) it came in really handy. I switch between my home-gym and the gym where i pay a membership. Because having a home-gym is great but talking to people in a gym can be great too. My gym is pretty cool and there are lots of friendly people there. But then again, when you are at home, and you are having this sudden urge to lift weights, you don't need to sit in your damn car and drive 20 minutes to your gym. Just go downstairs into your own gym. Simple as that.

What i learned tho (and this could be different for anyone) is that a home-gym can make you a lazy ass. Back in 2015 i quit my gym membership and started to build my own home-gym because i did not wanna pay the monthly fee's - I was a couple months really going hard at it but then i eventually just stopped. And that was the end of it until late 2017 when i started to hit the gym again (and been doing it since).

Overall i think i paid like 1500$ to 2000$ for all the stuff in my home-gym - Weights can get really expensive, especially if you wanna lift some heavy shit. But it will definitely be worth it in the long run if you compare it with a gym membership. I just like both. That's why i have both :)

I totally get about being lazy part. I'll keep that in mind.

I used to go to the gym at my office few days a week. It is no longer possible. So I figured to go this way.

Where did you buy these plates from?
I am from Asia mate, it was from a local shop.
