There are some books out there that allegedly sell like crazy(bestseller list of amazon) that are just ... diaries. Yeah, some have a twist, nice design and some bland platitudes, but in the end, you can just use their method with any notepad you choose. Let's say you invented the method of the diary itself, ie a book that looks like

How would you sell it and make people buy YOUR diary and not anyone else's?

That's the difficulty. I know people doing POD do these no/low content books and just put their shirt designs on the book cover.

You could put a theme in the diary. And sell it to people who like that theme.

Very good idea! To add onto this; Women They would love a diary themed to their liking. In fact; if you check YouTube there's an entire community that does like customization to their diaries. It's very nice looking, but I just never got why you would do this. They get sticker packs etc. in their theme so they can have an entire diary look nice.

That would render mass production and scalability useless. Also, what a woman considers "special" is most likely a small change from all other products out there. You are attributing more creativity to women than they have. They might want to feel unique, but most are not. The goal is to give them the fake identity of being unique by buying the product.

That's just a quantity over quality thing. the more designs the more money. I guess if you have new ideas on what types of books you could print and are the first to do it you can make quite a bit more
