Replicate crappy links from competitors link profile

Hello everyone,

I have a question that maybe some of you that master the use o automated tools, may be able to answer.

I've checked the link profile of some top competitors in my industry and see that, apart from legit links (or at least links that comes from authoritative domains, or that are placed in content in contextual articles), most of them they have tons of crappy links from blog comments, pings and similar other stuff.

I can work my way to build legit links in content by finding target sites to contact for guest posting, suggest/buy link in their content or even buying PBN links, but I don't know which is the quicker way to replicate those "crappy/automated" links that I can spot analyzing their link profile.

The only way that comes to my mind (apart from manual checking, placing links, etc) is to:

• extract the list of backlinks for each competitor using Ahrefs
• filter the list, in order to spot that automated links
• use a tool like Scrapebox to leave comments / create pingback to URL

Is there any better way? Especially the second point (filtering) will require some (long) time, as I should do it manually.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Forget the crappy links, quality come first to rank on google. Just focus on the top quality links and add your own strong backlinks that your competitor don't have.

Thank you both for answering. I may have not express myself properly in the original post (sorry, English is not my native language): I know that quality, contextual, backlinks are a must and I cannot base my link building strategy on blog comments or similar other stuff, but... mixing these kind of links it is important from my point of view, because having a link profile exclusively exclusively composed of links in content (whether they are guest posts, PBN links or links obtained naturally), it could be suspicious.

For this reason, I want to mix the link profile, adding this kind of link (also to increase the percentage of nofollow) so I'm looking for the quickest way to do it.

I am well aware of how to build a strong link profile, which then allows me to add PBN links safely. What I was asking for was advice on how to automate a certain type of task to the maximum.

Guest post and PBN(done in right way) gives much value to site. Even link from relevant and genuine site with less authority will provide value. Don't go for low quality links, those site which have already used it, has some strategy and implemented it. If your backlinks profile looks abnormal, it is not good for the site. Keep your backlink profile diversified.

I also found my competitors link profile full of comment spam. Many of them from the same person. I googled the user name and find the guys gig on fivrr. So I hired the guy too but instead, I send the comments to web 2.0s. For me, it's just easier to hire someone else to do that.
