I think he's really busy, I have been getting communications via email as my site is being worked on.
From what I've seen so far there would be a good reason for him to be busy. My site is nearly finished and I'm just waiting for the final report but its already a lot faster than I could ever get it using plugins and what not.

Well I got my report today and I am totally blown away.
I removed all of the optimization plugins before handing the site to @kindablack. My site was loading at over 10 seconds without any optimization plugins. The best I was able to get it was in the 4 second range after trying and tweaking dozens of different plugins (free and paid). Even then a few things would load a little weird. After wasting a ton of time and money I opted in for this service.
The site now loads at 2.7 seconds and loads without any glitches or issues.
I like to do things myself and don't mind spending to learn. But after tons of frustration and not getting any results that satisfied me I learned this is a job best left to someone that is experienced. At this price point it is a no brainer. I will be hiring him on to do several more websites in the near future.
