[Suggestion] Add mobile-friendly signatures

Mobile layout of the forum does not include signatures, which means that they are only visible when you're visiting BHW from a desktop computer. This is probably because you cannot fit a 728px × 90px image into a mobile page in portrait orientation and keep the text on it readable.

It would be nice to have two types of signatures: one for desktop layout, and another one (shorter) for mobile layout of the forum, respectively. I am more than sure it does not require extensive coding or customization of the forum's code.

Maybe this is by design so as to give more exposure to (paid) banner advertising.

Yes, being able to promote my app using signature is a huge deal to me and it was (at least partly) a reason why I became a jr.VIP. Besides, there must be a lot of guys visiting BHW from mobile devices... Here's just to illustrate this matter:

Haha, yeah I feel you bro, it is so much easier on my eyes, can't live without it BTW, in one of my very first posts here on BHW I published a userscript which makes BHW look much more readable on wider desktop monitors, hope it will be of some help for your eyes too: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/s...for-better-readability.1178894/#post-12627937

What are you guys talking about? You can see signatures in portrait mode by going to your preferences settings and selecting the "Automatically show signatures on the mobile layout of the forum in landscape mode... and in portrait mode". Silly members.

Here's a screenshot of mobile portrait signatures and a link to the settings for easy access.

But I didn't Photoshop that image just to mess with all of you. Allowing ads in portrait mode would take up more screen realestate; there would be less text on the screen and more ads. I've been on forums with too many ads on their mobile layouts from both the forum and their users, and less just say I no longer visit those forums (for numerous reasons).

I will leave this thread open if it's something all of you want to discuss. Here's a "before" screenshot of the image I made above showing the mobile layout without the ads for comparison (the way it is currently).

Well but you do have some spare screen real estate for your own ads, don't you? I mean that 'Advertise here now!' BHW banner I am wondering how many people are visiting the forum using mobile devices just to know the amount of clicks am I currently missing due to the fact that they can't see my signature. To be frank, that is somewhat unfair when you buy a Jr. VIP only to find that your signature is not shown to everyone. Again, if we are talking about limited screen real estate, you guys can easily introduce smaller signatures for mobile devices, I guess 99% of Jr. VIPs will agree with that. Would love to see some feedback from other forum members in this thread.

I didn't say I disagreed with your suggestion, so you can drop the passive-aggressive smileys.

The unfair card gets brought out a lot here. You say it's unfair to Jr. VIPs to not have their signatures shown on portrait mode, advertisers might say it's unfair that their ads are shown in portrait mode alongside the signature ads of Jr. VIPs because they might pay more than Jr. VIPs. But I don't handle advertisements on this forum nor is the decision to allow ads in portrait mode up to me. I'm much more interested in helping improve the forum, hence why I left this thread open for everyone to discuss. Keep in mind I was a regular member of this forum long before becoming an administrator.

Turn ypur mobile device sideways and the signatures show up.

At least for me they do.
