My Hashtag Research Strategy *(98% aren't following you)

Okay, this might have been posted but with various strategies. Mine is simpler than having to actually registering to a site and so on. Also, I use this for my smaller accounts and get great results. As I grow all my accounts manually, this saves me a lot of time and grants me steady followers without having to do follow/unfollow.

1. Go on an account with similar followers to yours, let's say you have 3k followers in this case. Try finding one with around that.

2. Check a post on their page that's been up for 24hrs+, and check the engagement. Does it have 1k+ likes? Good shit.

3. Just steal the hashtags? Make sure that one post wasn't just a viral one, check others and if those do similar engagement, use the hashtags.

4. Find X amount of these hashtag lists. X = amount of times you post per day. Use a new hashtag list for each post. This makes you reach different kinds of people. So let's say your hashtags get you 10k impressions, then you will get 10k x X since you used different lists for each post.

That's why you check engagement on multiple posts before stealing them

I wonder what your thoughts are on this :

I did research for a few hours today following your suggestions. This account I have now is at 2k followers. I get around 500~ likes and 80~ comments per post, so engagement is pretty good - just growth is slower than I want (300~ per month atm)

1) Looked for competitors with anywhere from 1x - 10x followers.
2) For the most part they all have lower engagement % than me. Most of them have the same amount of likes or even less.
3) Expanded search for larger accounts (think 30k-50k followers) this is where engagement is around 500 - 3k per post.

Any suggestions on what to look for then? My competitors don't seem to be getting higher engagement %.
I will do further reach to see if I can find any outliers with really strong engagement.
