Hi BHW,

Do people actually buy from Pinterest, based on your experience as a digital marketer?

Have you ever done Pinterest ads for selling just any software?

Do you sell software on pinterest?

How would you compare the percentage of average monthly sales or one-time sales made from Pinterest with Facebook with Instagram?

I am into a software project and I'm a bit reluctant about Mark Zuckerberg's platforms. Pinterest seems like gold but I'm not exactly sure if people actually buy seriously from images.

Please don't tell me to try and see for myself. I know that very saying already. :D

Just want only your inputs based on experience, please.

No answer. Please someone..

I heard that you need to be picky with the products you promote on there, they have to go with the flow and have an aesthetic mold to be profitable.

I see. Have you tested it?

IF your software product suits the Pinterest user profile....and there is a need for it then YES, you will do well....you also need to make sure you create appealing Pins with a positive CTA that garner clicks, otherwise nobody will ever see what you are selling.

Build your Pinterest account using best Google SEO practices and you will get a decent head-start!.

IF you want to fast-track the processes, and you are sure there is a market for your product then promote your Pins....typical returns are for every $1 you spend on advertising you can earn $2-$3 in gross income.

This part is what I don't understand. Any experience on Pinterest ads? What did you sell.

Yes my product is on demand. It's a software that automate some social media tasks.

Just like with Reddit and LinkedIn, you need to suit your ads to the platform. That's really the key to achieve success on any of the platforms.
I always recommend to stay closest to the platform you're already an experienced user on, you speak the language of the user and that's what truely sells.

I haven’t used Pinterest for selling software but it worked for me with other types of products. What’s most important for you right now is to see if your potential buyers use it. Since your product is related to social media automation, my guess is that you will find plenty of buyers there. Most bloggers use Pinterest and a lot of them struggle with staying relevant on social media platforms.
However, you need to optimize your profile and Pins so that they attract your audience. Focus on your keywords, add engaging CTAs, and use HQ images. Of course, everything needs to look attractive and pretty — Pinterest is all about aesthetics.
