I am glad to see I answered your questions!
Also, a term that is similar to "SEO Value" is "Estimated Avg. CPC" found in GKT,
which means the average an advertiser is paying to G. for his ads.
In fact, my explaination about SEO Value in MS was not exact, and it's not like
the estimated Avg. CPC X Traffic.
In Market Samurai :
SEO Value (SEOV) = SEO Traffic (SEOT) X Adwords CPC (AWCPC)
SEO Traffic = "The maximum potential daily clicks that a#1 ranked site for this
keyword term could potentially achieve"
Adwords CPC = "An indication of what you might expect to pay to be the #1 ranked
advertiser for a particular keyword in Google"
When you download Market Samurai directly on their site, you get all the modules
for free during the trial period (10-15 days if I remember) and after the trial,
you "just" have the "Keyword Research" module
for free and forever.
But a very important criterion you MUST take in consideration as well :
There is this AMZING module in MS called "SEO COMPETITION". I encourage everyone
to get the full version of Market Samurai (just type Market Samurai in BHW and
you will get it

).
For my part, I have 2 computers :
1. I have the official MS I use for the "Keyword Research", with all the updates
for free (computer 1).
2. I have the unofficial MS I use for the "SEO Competition", and this module
doesn't really need updates

(computer 2)
So it is a very good system. SEO Competition is great because you have the "PR
Analysis" and "Anchor text analysis":
With the PR Analysis, you get everything about the top 10 sites ranked PageRank
for a particular keyword :
Usually, the top 10 websites has a lot of backlinks.
A virtual example, the #1 website has 200 backlinks. It is a lot...
BUT (a great "But"!), Market Samurai analyse precisly the strength of the
backlinks of the site (and a lot of other things, see below) :
- Always as an example, you see that the #1 website which has 200 BL, has in fact
150 backlinks from a PR0, 30 from a PR1, 20 from a PR2, and only a few with PR3
or 4 (most of cases, it hasn't any more than PR3. It is rare that you see any PR5
and more !)
Conclusion : if you get JUST A FEW BACKLINKS from PR5-6-7 Google trusted
websites, you can BEAT the #1 website pretty easily which has 200 Backlinks
Cool, isn't it ?!
And the other datas you get in the "SEO Competition" module are a great way to
analyse and beat your competitors too :
- DA = Domain Age
- PR = Page Rank of the particular page which is ranked for the keyword you are
trying to get ranked for as well.
- BLP = Backlinks Page, the total number os external links pointing to a specific
URL. It doesn't include all the links from the whole website. These are the
backlinks you want to analyse.
- BLD = Domain Backlinks, the total number of external links pointing to ANY page
on that domain (much less important than BLP).
- BLEG = Page .edu/.gov, the total number of links pointing to a webpage from
Government and Educational sources.
- DMZ = DMOZ Directory, Whether the site is listed in the Open Directory
Project's directory. (I don't know yet what it is)
- YAH = Yahoo Directory, whether the site is listed in the Yahoo! Directory.
- Title = Whether the webpage <title> tag contains the keyword
- URL = Whether the webpage URL contains the keyword
- Desc = Whether the word appears in the <meta> "description" tag.
- Head = = Whether the word appears in <h1>, <h2>, <h3> etc. tags within the page
content.
- CA = Google Cach Age.
Also, in this "SEO Competition" module, each data has a color which allow you to see
very fast if the keyword worth it or not :
if you see a lot of green, just GO !
A lot of yellow, analyse the PR's and the Anchor Texts.
And a lot of red, hard to beat.
So... get this fabulous tool !
