Why had this gone unanswered and yet everyone still so keen to sign-up? There are a lot of member in here using the service by the looks of it. Anyone else experience anything to indicate nulled themes?
How can we tell which plugins or themes are nulled and which are the original files?
Hi
@br3ach,
@Monteryjac and others,
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Let me kindly explain the situation here. Since the start of the WordPress Vault in 2017, I have been providing genuine WordPress themes and plugins for free. Since Februari this year, it was not financially feasible to keep offering the items (and the support) for free. That's why I moved the Mega.nz vault to the domain
https://festingerbhw.com. During this transfer, many, read, many people requested tutorials on how to activate certain items.
At first, I would like to make my apologise to customers who are experiencing any difficulties using the items. On a daily base, I received approximately 20-30 requests to help people activating items. That's why I decided to provide activation tutorials for the most popular items, based on the amount of requests. However, developers changes their security systems almost with
every update, which makes it really hard to instant activate certain items. I wrote tutorials with a step-by-step guide how to activate these items, but with every update, the tutorials became outdated. The tutorials were no longer working to bypass the security measures.
Customers advised (and requested) a different kind of approach. This approach is so called 'pre-activated', which means that the code provided in the tutorials have already been adjusted to the files. Customers are able to use the plugins and themes without the need to change the code by themselves. I know many people are worried because of the so called 'nulled' items, which can be found all around the web. Especially, if you download the items from a sketchy place, it's a risk to your website. Files may include malicious code or backdoors.
Based on my reputation here on BlackHatWorld, I can assure everybody that the files offered at my WordPress Vault are clean, that means: NO malicious code, NO viruses, no other sketchy code. The items listed on my website are personally activated and in some cases with the help of @zilog357. @zilog357 is a well-trusted member here on BHW.
I can imagine that some customers are looking for the non-pre-activated version of an item, which can be requested through the ticket support of your account dashboard. With the current version of the WordPress vault, a pre-activated item is marked as _pre-activated in the file name once downloaded. I am currently building an upgraded version of the WordPress Vault, where all the item information is available
before downloading the actual file. Kindly check the following screenshot:
With this new version, customers are able to decide to download the genuine version or the pre-activated version of an item.
If you still have your doubts, kindly send me a private message and I am able to help you out!
Cheers,
Festinger
