CPA Marketing | What does "Lockers Only" mean

Hello,
I just signed up on CPAlead and now I have my first questions

A lot of CPA offers have a warning note on top:

Note: This offer is unavailable for Direct Promotion. Offer will only be shown in Lockers, Pages, Banners and Offerwalls.

What does this mean?
I'm only planing to promote on popular social sides.

As far as I understand it, it means, you can't directly promote it through direct links. It has to be a content locker or some other feature of the platform.

It is an actual feautre of the CPA provider. It is a landing page (hosted by the provider) where the user gets to choose, which offers to complete.
Direct promotion would be a direct link to the selected offer and locked content would be a link to (by the provider) hosted landing page.

So its not an extra step for me but only a little note/info for me as the affiliate, that the costumer has to do an extra step before I get a promotion.

It is a restriction. You can not promote this offer in an isolated condition. So, if you want your customers to see exactly that offer, you would need to set up a locker/offer wall and get your traffic to that link.

Ok one example:
There is a campaign I would like to promote (with this restriction) where you can win 2 years of Netflix.
The person who clicks on that ad will be lead to a side, where he/she has to fill out his/her email and name.
And the note just tells me that I would only get the promotion if he or she submits his or her email and name? (because this is not a "direct" link to the offer) Am I understanding that right? :/

Not exactly that. You basically don't get a direct link to that offer. At all.
As i already said, this offer will only be displayed on a offer wall or locker together with many other offers. So you will have to promote the offer wall or the locker and not the offer itself.

Example:

This does work:
You create an offer wall (hosted by CPA provider), on which people can find many offers including the one, you selected

This doesn't work:
You copy the direct link to this offer and drive traffic directly to this offer.

I'm not sure, how much more detailed i could explain it.
Maybe looking up "offer wall" and "content locker" would clear things up
