Are Banner/Display Ad CHEAPER than Search Ad?

I wish to promote CPA gaming offer, but CPC price of google/Bing ads(search) is too high, so i looking to explore display ads for promoting gaming offers. Are display ads cheaper than search ads?

And which are the cheapest display/banner ads network that i cud use for promoting gaming offers.

My CPA payout is $4.

They are cheaper, especially on Adwords - yet they often convert REALLY badly! Personally, I have always advertised via search and tested my landing pages to get the conversion rate that I need.

Another thing, just incase you're early on in your Adwords campaign. Quality score is almost all down to CTR - get that right and you'll soon find those scores (and the cost per click) improving over time.

actually, my CPA gaming offer payout is $4 and usually get around 7% conversion rate, but CPC for gaming-related keywords in AdWords is $1-$4/click..thus i am looking for an alternate source of traffic other than search traffic.

No idea, I've never really been into the banner advert thing - always search traffic into higher value lead gen type stuff.
