I want to thank you and BlackhatWorld once more for offering me this great opportunity and I am so glad you had a smooth experience with Klype and the only encountered issues are the ones I am very aware of. For my own excuse, I have a pretty strange light and color setting preference for my monitors, the friends who tested the app for me had the same complaint about the dark texts... this will change in the future, I guarantee, and I trully want to create a light skin as well to please every single one's preferences. I can't wait to get rid of the wip messages as well.
And here it starts. Let's hope we'll have a fantastic journey, together! I hope all of us will have a great trip.
Once Klype reaches a more stable point and it fully got rid of any sort of wip elements, Klype has a roadmap that I would really love to accomplish along with you through this journey:
• Chromium Authentication Support.
- Rather than using raw webrequests to perform an authentication and import an account to schedule, you could use this method, having an embedded chromium browser window appear awaiting for your login ensuring a clean login, bypassing any sort of captchas and pending requirements of the specific network.
• Cookies Authentication.
- With a support of both gathering them from the local browsers to manually import them.
• Handling the graphical elements as a native drawing of the window.
- Get rid of the huge amount of graphical controls and just emulate them on the paint event of the main window, this would be very hard to handle and modify, this is why Klype has to be in a confident state at that point, but as long as the user experience would be as twice as smooth and fast, it would be worth it. This of course will happen later because I have in plan to change the design a lot.
• Rewriting Klype from scratch.
- This sounds big, but in fact it isn't. In the meantime Klype has been in development, it has been rewritten from scratch for around 10 times, or even more, I still have the projects and still can't believe how far I've progressed. Doing it so is in mainly in order boost productivity and deliver updates faster, safer and wrap around things up for my understanding of my own code.
• Creating a token based error system.
- Store each response from the server on user's location of choice and assign to every single one of them a unique id, that id would be used on a special window that would display the server response. This would help both the user and the developer detect the problem. This of course, would be an experimental feature and will have to be carefully planned as it could take a lot of hdd memory. But we're having filtering and encoding on our hands.
• Import/Export module settings.
- Rather than assigning values to every setting tab per module, it would come handy to export the settings of any module of choice and re-import it into another, and make the tweaks from there. This of course would happen only after rewriting Klype from scratch, because I want to change the settings storage logic as well, making it more universal.
• Light theme.
• A graph that indicates the aggressiveness of the user's settings.
- A mini graphical radial progress bar that would indicate and tell you if you exceeded the recommended safe settings for the specific platform, expecting it to be updated with each network updates as well and gathered through user's opinions, vouches and recommendations.
• My dream feature, custom node editor module.
- Once the app reaches a steady point and most of what I purposed is completed, I'd like to give the possibility to create custom works through node editors. This is something I had in mind ever since I started Klype, it would be a neat feature, but I'll have to change the core of Klype to do so.
And more... This list will be expanded further because ideas will never cease to appear. And of course, we stand by your suggestions as well.
