Cloud flare is downgrading organic search????

Hi guys,

I just read this

Having your website attached to a CDN/Cloud can either be very good or very bad. I have seen circumstances in which Cloud Flare’s CDN completely ruined a client's ranking in organics and we purposely turned it off and back on four times over the course of a month only to see ranking go up and down with each iteration. While CDN’s and Clouds can be very useful for major corporations who are preceded by their name, I recommend caution with smaller niche or national based websites.

What are you thinking about it?

I think that this opinion is based on very small data sample. What works for ones become headache for other's. But in the end it's all about right substance between chair and keyboard.

Where did you read this? Is it from reliable source, any data to back up the claim?

Using cloudflare since 2010. Never had any kind of problems with organic search.

This is the second thread (that I know of) on BHW regarding this situation. Upon reading the first one, I was positive that this is not possible.... Now I'm starting to worry as I'm using KeyCDN and Cloudflare on all my sites....

I have website to prove that, but I cant show you. It does impact your ranking but with lots of other factors including.

It is quite simple if it taking time to load then it will also effects ranking.

Cloudflare is blessing in disguise .... If you know how to use cloudflare one can drastically increase their SERPS.

When you change servers(change ip) Google always holds off the serps traffic until it can determine whether the new serve r can hold traffic.

But in 3-4 days one get back its traffic.

I will explain simply ... If your site belongs in a local niche and in a language that is not English then it may be a conflict because the ip is from the United States.
A local site in a local native language (no English) is better to have a domain and site hosting from that country.
As long as this is a global site, there is no need to worry....
