Good question. I can't say exactly, but yes the hash and name are changed and the images are actually safe to be reuploaded. Also, since launching over a year ago there have been 0 reports of problems with uploading the images created through Vurku.
Let me know if you have any further questions about it. I'm happy to send you an image changed by Vurku and you can inspect it to see if it's to your liking.

Unfortunately there is no way this could work with private accounts. That would be a HUGE security flaw in Instagram if it was possible to get posts from private accounts.
Now it is possible to get posts from private accounts you are following but that would require Vurku to log in as you which I do not support right now which is actually a good thing as 1) there are dozens if not hundreds of other accounts you can scrape from and 2) giving out your Instagram details is not only a security risk to you but also increases the risk of being banned dramatically. So all in all it's in your best interest IMO for Vurku to function as it does and it's what makes Vurku an incredibly unique and powerful tool!

I just downloaded a slew of videos from a private account I couldn't figure out how to get! but now they're on my desktop!
Seriously thank you for making this tool, I am going buy the fuck out of that monthly subscription. Literally will pay for itself with 1 scraped high engagement ad video ima repost lol oh and please make sure this never goes down i'll probably cry and throw a tantrum.

Thank you!! Vurku gets all the data from the post (caption, like count, comment count, username, post date/time, etc). You can even export all that data to an excel file!
