Hi

I was wondering: which business sectors use Instagram automation tools the most?
Or with a different formulation: what sectors are most likely to use Instagram automation tools?

From your personal experience or from articles written about that
(I haven't found a topic on this question, sorry if it has already been answered)

Good question but there is no way to tell which businesses use automation for Instagram. Probably ones that need to post a lot of content.

All sectors, you'd be surprised at some of the small businesses that use automation bots. I cannot say there is one market bigger than the other though. I suppose, solely online businesses are probably higher represented than offline businesses, probably just due to the owners being more tech savvy.

Note, this is for actual businesses, not SEOs pushing some online offer / aff product. For these, the far biggest is adult

Thank you for your answers

That makes sense. Probably mainly because they don't know such things exist

I was hoping there would be some stats about this somewhere, oh well

I don't know if it's the sector which has the most automation going on, but there's plenty of instagram pages in the DJ / electronic music niche which use follow unfollow and especially liking. Even DJs that are somewhat popular are using automation tools.
"OmG HaRdWelL liKeD mY pHoTo" :D

I haven't really been active on instagram outside the music niche so I can't say whether it's more or less than in other niches.

what if you are an employee at Instagram and trying to make a survey to find out which sector you should focus on more to disable their automated accounts ?

Do you believe instagram doesn't know which accounts are automated and which aren't?

Yes and I guess every artist or maker is a potential automation user as it's about promoting their own work to make a direct living of it. Music, visual arts, decoration, jewelry, ..

Haha, well who knows  I WANT NAMES

True. it's profitable for them. The bigger numbers on their platform, the more "credible" in a way and the bigger investments in ads. Their frowning upon automated growth is about putting on a good show.

There are many legitimate accounts using bots. Bots per se are not the problem. Spam bots / aggressive bots / fake account bots, basically bots that degrade the service THOSE are the problem. Which is why you rarely if ever, see a real account (by real I mean an account that existed and was used prior to being run in a bot, for a legitmate business etc) get banned. Even if run on a proxy / VPS.

ISG does not care if a business owner it scheduling their images, or running some follow actions / like actions. They do care if you annoy users and degrade the service as that could affect their bottom line

There is no specific niche that wants IG automation, people use automation to save their time and increase work efficiency.
