Ask me anything about Facebook Ads 2019

When on-boarding a client, what are the questions you ask in your on-boarding process?

You mentioned you'd stick to lower ticket items, do you have any experience with high ticket? If so, what was that experience?

In what scenarios would you recommend a company/business choose Google Ads over Facebook Ads? In addition to this, what business do you believe should stay off Facebook Ads?

Lastly, what percentage of your Facebook Ads is for B2B?

Do you know what is causing this error msg or what I am doing wrong? Thanks!

Would like to know how to effectively target local market, for online services like SEO, web design, web development, mobile app development etc. Have made ads in the past but didn't really generate any leads...

I got a new e-commerce store, what would be like the best ad type/target to start with? Lets say Iam not 100% about my targetgroup yet.

Hi Drought,
I know the basics of using fb ads. but i wanna learn more about them. How can i learn?

hi i have a question, I'm doing an ad campaign for a local gym, I am trying to get people in but I don't know who to target,
I know im targeting women age 28-45 interested in fitness and well ness and other interest, the problem is FB is showing my ads'
slowly and I was wondering if you knew the perfect interest for gyms or what would make FB show my ads faster

How did you get those clients? Did you build up a site and repertoire? How much do you get paid for managing those accounts?

Upwork and referrals. I won't disclose how much my clients pay me but it's a monthly retainer + rev share.

Biggest ones are monthly revenue and campaign history (if any).

Highest ticket item I've sold is a $500 digital product (course).

Google Ads is good for products that solve problems and have low competition. You can bid on the keywords that people are searching, eg. "how to design a website yourself without html". However, in this day and age nearly every company can use Facebook Ads. Not all companies can or should use Google Ads.

I'd say maybe 15-20% of my clients are B2B.

Did you duplicate an ad across campaigns? This is most likely the issue, you will have to remake the ad from scratch in the new campaign.

If you shoot me a PM with your ads I can take a look. You should be sending them to a landing page with a lead magnet, not trying to sell them directly. Also like I said previously, target small biz related interests like HubSpot, Hootsuite, etc.

Start with testing 5-10 ad sets each with 1 single interest inside. Within each ad set test 3 ads: 1 caorusel, 1 slideshow video, and 1 single image. Find your best performing ad set and ad and work from there.

Read, implement, and test. It helps to have an account you can play around with to test new strategies.

If your ads are getting low delivery your targeting is likely too specific. Have only 1 interest per ad set. I've worked with a few local gyms and their campaigns are pretty hit or miss. It's mostly reliant on the local population.

Hi, I have a blog for italian people, in this site i try to teach how to code, my questions are:
- should i pay for ads or should i wait more time? I have, for now, 14 articles.
- what is the best platform for ads in this niche?

If you work for a B2B company, do you target businness owners to promote your products?

Is selling t-shirts online with fb ads through teespring profitable?

Title says everything ;)

I currently manage $50,000/month in ad spend for a variety of clients. Mostly eCommerce and lead gen for blogs and service providers. Happy to help however I can :)
Why my FB account is always getting disabled

Yeah one question, do CPA Fb ads still works?

It can, but:
1. It's risky and requires using a squeeze page and/or cloaker since FB will ban you for direct linking
2. It's competitive, margins are thin

Much better to make your own product or do affiliate for a company privately than try to compete on cheap offers.

You can start running ads now. I have 4 articles on my site and am getting getting 3-5 new email subscribers a day with my paid ads, running at just $10/day. Create a lead magnet, make a landing page, and run traffic to it.

I would recommend Facebook Ads and display/banner/email ads in publications in your niche. I would say AdWords but the keywords for 'learn to code' are ridiculously competitive and expensive.

If you work for a B2B company, do you target businness owners to promote your products?

Yes. Usually B2B companies have a large enough client base to make significant lookalike audiences, though.

Is selling t-shirts online with fb ads through teespring profitable?

Yes it can be. I would however recommend using a POD (print on demand) service like Printful or Printify and to build your own brand around it.

Why my FB account is always getting disabled

Would need more info than that. FB accounts generally don't disabled for no reason

Any tips for selling furniture online? I've been trying to send traffic to website, but the conversion rate is low. Our clients are not really that good with ordering online if that matters (people with no basic pc skills over 40-50+)
We're taking more orders via facebook page chat/website chat.

If you PM me with your site I can offer more advice. Carousel ads and slideshow videos are most likely going to be your best ad formats. Use lookalikes if you have at least 1,000 previous customers, otherwise use furniture selling competitors as Interests (1 per ad set, 5-10 ad sets)

When my ad account within my business manager gets disabled, what options do I have? Already tried to reappeal it.

Do you have a Facebook ads VIDEO Standard Operating Procedure (mainly hook) that you would like to share?

E.x The hook mainly because average human attention span under 4 seconds

When it comes to the rest of your video, is it pain point resolution, are they really short meme videos, stories, product reviews?

What kind of ads were you running?

Almost always BuzzFeed-style videos that are designed to be satisfying. I referenced the cooking/baking style videos in a previous post that Tasty/BuzzFeed do. Think things like this. The pain point resolution 'formula' is exaggerated by gurus. Made good content that people in the niche like and it will work itself out.
