My Instagram journey to motivate myself and hopefully you.

My goal is to grow my network to 50K then monetize my account with shopify dropshipping in my niche. I'm looking to make some side income and maybe scale from there.

I'm starting with (3) accounts in my niche. One of them already has a good head start and I need to get the other 2 to play catch up. I'll put Day 1 in first comment.

If this thread doesn't get updated every few days then invite me to your funeral so I can let you down one last time.

Yes all of them grown with follow/unfollow. I recently tried to post twice a day but that dipped my engagement down from 40%. Yikes I just reverted to 1 post a day. I'm greedy for that engagement that I'm not even monetizing yet!

How are you getting 30% engagement?
How many do you follow per day?
And how do you target followers and also how many followers do you gain on a daily basis?

You must be posting quality content to get such a goof engagement. F/U method is getting saturated day by day and the follow back ratio isn't that good either.

Hello all here's my update!
Account 1: 19.8K with 36% engagement. Average 7k likes and 55 comments.
Account 2: 4.3K with 218% engagement. Inflated because I have many posts that have reached explore page. Average 9k likes and 155 comments.
Account 3: Had issues need to reset.

I'm debating whether to continue F/U with Account 1. Reason being why would a page that big follow a random person, even if it's well targeted. Maybe it's just me because I have knowledge of botting and can see through the fake. Another person could take it as a genuine follow. I am still liking on all accounts regardless. I also have noticed that if I have a low following count, I have more follower gains. I don't know if this is a coincidence but I unfollowed everyone on Account 2 and recently I noticed a larger follower gain daily. Maybe IG is generous in featuring pages with low followings.

Also there are so many annoying 12 year olds that are looking for a friend. They DM me and say things like hi I'm ....., want to be friends? And also lonely men who keep asking me where I'm from when I literally have my city in my bio. Instant block lmao.

Evergreen niche. People have been interested in this niche ever since humans have existed. Humans have been doing this for over 30,000 years. As a matter of fact humans created this niche.
Honestly you can grow an account in anything. The most important thing to ask yourself is, "Would I personally follow this page?"

I used F/U and liking. I did around 800 follows a day. Target people who interact with bigger pages in my niche. Roughly 300-500 followers a day on Account 1.
Currently only liking on all accounts. No F/U.

Yes only quality content. I actually delete over half of the posts that Jarvee scrapes for me. I only post the absolute best.
I have 2 pages that I targeted with F/U that can gain me 30% followback. However other pages usually sit around 15-20% followback.

I don't have a strategy as it's not intended lol. It just happens that I get on there quite a bit. I have 30 hashtags that are related to my niche. I post the same hashtags every picture. I repost quality content from bigger niche pages. I only repost 50% of the posts that my Jarvee scrapes for me. I handpick out the best.

That's an amazing engagement rate. I only wish mine was as high. It is very low hovering around 5% right now with about 11k followers. I would love to pick your brain and maybe get some advice from you. I also use Jarvee. Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated!

I think liking will improve your engagement rate as people will check out your page after you like their post and they tend to like your posts back. That will make your engagement high. And with only 1 post a day the post is limited so it gets high number of likes or comments that it reaches the explore.

Yes 1 post per day is better for engagement. Also I get about 15% followback rate just for liking pictures.

No I have never sold a shoutout for a product. I do feature some people for free if their content is good. My account is based on reposting so I have to feature.
