I have recently changed from Windows to MAC, how can I change my license?

So the file is saved, but it just doesn't have an extension? It should be a .txt file.

Make sure you are running scrapebox from a folder on your desktop or in your documents folder. Anywhere else won't have ideal write permissions.

Okay, having same problem on both Windows VPS boxes. Yes, I put the scrape box folders on the desktop and in the documents folder for both.. Still have the same issue, files are saved without extensions. No .txt extensions.

If you are using public proxies at any point they can leak your ip and sometimes do. If your using private proxies etc.. then its fine and they do not leak your ip. I mean I can see them working in debugger and using the proxy.

It works for me, what errors do you get in the error log? Its in the scrapebox folder \ plugins \ expired domain finder folder.

No I'm saying the built-in SB proxies that come with v2.0. It will download 1000 by itself and use them to scrape. Whenever I use these proxies, I get captchas on Google... As if somehow Google is detecting I'm using my real IP to scrape instead of proxies. Not sure what type of proxies SB uses for this -- but it seems they're leaking to some extent. I mean, they're free, so what can I expect. I just think it's likely why they're getting banned so quickly -- because they're leaking.

You can't use the native mac version with a windows license. your license is either windows or mac, they are not internchangeable. Given that you have been using windows, you have a windows license.

So your options include:

Installing parallels or virtual box or similar and running windows on that and using your windows license

Getting a VPS with windows and then connecting to that with your mac and running scrapebox on the vps

Buy an additional scrapebox license for mac and then use it on your mac OS.

Never heard of that, Ill ask support and get back to you.

Any chance of a screenshot of the saved files?

They are just public proxies, same as you might get from the included scrapebox sources or anywhere else. Scrapebox has some servers that go scrape all sorts of ways and places to find public proxies that are passed and they give them to you free as a resources, they just do the work to find them and trudge thru the hundreds of thousands of proxies they find to give you the good ones. So a public proxy could change to being not anonymous and leak your ip at any point.

Although, It was set to hide extensions. Even after unchecking It, the problem continues no extension. Any help from anyone would be great!
You could try restarting your machine, or at least windows explorer.

I mean can you still open the files? I guess Im missing it here, because I didn't think of what SweetFunny said. I thought you were saying it literally saved them as just file.

Meaning it didn't have an extension. If it has the extension and you cant see it thats different then not having one at all.

Can you give a screenshot of what you see in windows explorer?

Here is what I see in the link extractor folder when I open it. I did try to do the step above that was recommended by SweetFunny. But that doesn't fix It.. I reboot the machine as well.

I can create a video of the process. Harvesting, Link Extractor and the result you see in the pictures. One picture is what I see when I go direct to the folder. The other picture is what I see when I try to load the text file in scrape box. Any feedback would be welcomed!

This is a bug in link extractor which will be fixed within the day.

Try updating they mailed me back and said the update is out and its fixed.

I bought the Yellow Pages scraper and it retrieves quite a bit of results. The problem I'm having is regardless of how many connections I set the Yellow Pages scraper to. It is always at 1 connection, whereas I'd like to have a few connections going to speed up the results. Any help would be great!

Yellow pages employs a lot of tactics to try and avoid their data from being scraped. Due to how they work and how the yellow pages scraper is coded etc... Part of the process is indeed multi threaded, but part of it can only be single threaded.

So some of the time you will see that jump to more then 1, but a good bit of the time it will be at 1 thread and it just is what it is.

The flip side of the coin of course is yellow pages bans fast anyway, so with 25 proxies if you had come to me and said how many connections should I use, I would say "use 1 connection plus a delay". So your 5 connections has no delay and will probably result in your ips being banned. Although if you only use 1 keyword and 1 location like your doing, that may well not happen or not happen a lot.

It's using 1 connection because you have 1 keyword, it can't mult-thread a single keyword you need to be scraping multiple keywords to use multiple threads.

Can't believe I didn't see that, that was a very doh moment on my part!

Hi, when you guys going to update page authority add on with new MOZ link explorer? the old OSE will be off by this 29th.

Hi, @loopline do you by chance know if Scrapebox has the ability to change proxies "on the fly" when using plugins like Link Extractor, or the Expired Domain Premium Plugin? I have a server that's going to be used for domain scraping only, and am trying to figure out the best way to do this.

For example, can I scan a list of proxies with SB (from somewhere like GSA Proxy Scraper), then Save them to the ScrapeBox Proxy Manager, while Link Extractor is running? Will Link Extractor then know to use the updated proxy list instead of the old one?

Is this something that the Automator plugin could do (automatically replace proxies with working ones)? I'm looking to use public proxies for the domain search (note: this is after Google/Bing etc, only used to scrape the internal/external links on domains).

Thanks!

From what I know you should save your data like keywords to file, then load new proxies from file, load those keywords again and complete the job - all done in automator.

The addons pull proxies upon startup (generally speaking) and not again until they are restarted. So the answer is no, you can't update them on the fly, same for the expired domain finder. IMHO though, you should only use private (or private shared) proxies for link extractor and expired domain finder. So generally these only update once monthly or if there are dead ones.

You can work in small batches and run the automator and have it pulling info for whatever you are doing.

Im not sure exactly what you are doing but... it sounds like your over thinking it.

The expired domain finder plugin will take any given seed domains and crawl thru the entire domain looking for expired domains. So you don't need to worry about the link extractor, its all automatic.

Further you would either want to use no proxies or private proxies with the expired finder.

So you would probably only then be doing a few basic google/bing searches, as even if you put 100 seed domains into the expired finder it can run for quite some time.

Right? OR Im not understanding what your wanting to do perhaps.

I was using allintitle:keyword from Google Competition Finder addon.

I was using 50 dedicated proxy, 5 connection and a list of 17,000 keywords. But the result is showing 0 for all of them.

I have checked manually few of them and results are not 0.

How can I fix this issue or use "allintitle" footprint?
