I want to launch my own blog and for that, I need a new domain and hosting. 1&1 seems to have the best offer - Free domain for 1 year and $0.99 per month. Next up is Goddady with Rs99 per month and a free domain for 1 year.

Then comes Namecheap but I have to register a domain additionally.

1&1 and Godaddy seem to have very bad support and their hosting service is also not the best. But I'm on a budget and my site will be new. As a beginner, do you think I will ever get more than 100 visitors per minute or 25k visitors monthly?

And I can't decide between shared hosting and Wordpress hosting. Wordpress hosting seems to be more optimized for WordPress but it is more costly and limited in some respects.

NameCheap normal price for shared hosting is Rs 195 per month but it allows to connect upto3 domains. NameCheap WordPress hosting is $8.88 for the first year. But all the details are not shared.

The reviews I found online are old. Can someone kindly help me chose a hosinting provider? I'm inclided toward 1&1 because it's the cheapest, then GoDaddy and NameCheap at last.

I'm not going with a more expensive hosting provider because I'm just starting out. Once I start getting some traffic nand make some money, I will chose a better host.

Thank you.

GoDaddy is dog shit, stay away from them.

Id personally register the domain with NameCheap and look in the hosting section of BHW. Plenty of good hosting services for cheap

I would never consider Godaddy for hosting. Domain is okay but not hosting.
Maybe get a domain from Godaddy and just get hosting from Namecheap.
They have good support. Also If you are in budget check the hosting section I bought a hosting to test CPA offers for $4.99 per year.

Siteground works for me, great customer service! You can also check out some of the hosting services here, but stay away from the three you named, all bad.

Buying a domain off 1&1 is like booting yourself in the dick. Godaddy is an absolute joke of an host. I can't say for Namecheap, but I'd be looking elsewhere. I host sites on Servikus, very happy with them. Other than that I was very happy with Hostpapa.

Always go with shared hosting than wp hosting. Wp hosting is too pricey and in the end you’ll get the same thing.

For hosting, I vote for Namecheap out of three. Godaddy for domain or you can go with Namesilo instead as they’re offering free whois privacy.

For that price you gan go with HawkHost. Great hosting.

I’ve tested both godaddy and namecheap shared hosting this year for different sites. I can say Namecheap is far better than GoDaddy. Plus, they’ve got 24/7 support which is a good thing considering it’s your first blog/site. Good luck!

I use all 3 in your list.

If this is your first site, then namecheap is the best choice. Godaddy or 1&1 are not as good, namecheap is quite good I have been using them for about 9 years. Not much downtime, not so easily hacked, not much hassle.

If I am to choose out of those 3 options, I will go with namecheap. I have some sites hosted there for years and with no issue at all. +1 for servikus. Some of my biggest websites are hosted there and the customer service is top notch.

Have been using BlueHost for 3 years.

When I see one of my clients using GoDaddy, I don't care who they are--they are switching to something else.

I stay CLEAR away from Godaddy (even for domains--just use namecheap).

everyone you mention are a pile of crap.

ill give you a example a lot of php files need full access to the root settings , there no way that them companys will let you touch that stuff no way .

also all them services are not blackhat compatable do anythink wrong there just shut you down with no notice .

to get to the settings to set diffrent services are very hard to do with these big companys.

use the misc for a proper host

i use

For newbies namecheap is the best as service and price is very good.

Go with digital ocean or vultr, there's a learning curve but you will soon reap the benefits :)

People know that all of these companies (except 1&1) plus some of those suggested in the thread belong and owned by the same company!!!

@OP I would stay away from all of them. Use the ones suggested by @mickyfu .. Personally, I have been using crocweb for years and very happy with them.

Now, I use Vultr + Serverpilot which results in a vps for less than 5$/month compared to shared hosting for 7-8/month! However, it needs exprience so I don't recommend this option for u

I have been using Namecheap for 3 years now. Good experience so far. Especially the customer support service.
