Facebook will ban all ads promoting cryptocurrency

I remember learning about propaganda and limiting peoples information, this is like that. This sadly may be for the best. People have been making ads which are plain out fake. I see a bunch of them every day when I'm on youtube.

This is good to know. Too many people trying to scam via Facebook ads. Selling 'knowledge' which is easy to find.

i love this, ponzy goona out soon. so many people misleading people in the name of cryto tech.

It will be harder for ICOs to raise founds, but there are so many crypto related and investment FB groups on which they will focus more now. I expect so many spams in those groups soon. Anyway, it would be scary for the market if other social networks follow FB example. Marketing is everything here when a market is so crowded with so many ICO coming.

It's going to make so many people look like fools, and completely ruin any kind of rep they had.

They said the same about forex products a long time ago, I know 3 major forex companies in the UK spending $1-2m/year on facebook ads. Financial products are hugely profitable for facebook as they are least likely to get complaints from the user (most people that invest in such services are too ashamed to admit they got duped whereas a nutra product for example they are more inclined because of the stigma around them). Now they've mentioned binaries again as a crack-down.

Honestly, this is more of a target on ICO's - some of these ICO assholes really took the piss "today $1, soon $1000" in the headline...like seriously?

I like the deafening silence from the Cryptotards about the fact that both France and now the UK are thinking about banning crypto. That ponzi is about to blow the fuck up. People are going to have to return their hire cars soon.

Hmm, Most of the ICOs that market with adverts are scams or shitcoins. It just shows that they'd rather put funds into advertising rather than into development. From my experience the best ICO are not overly advertised..they just have a strong community behind them from BTCtalk and a couple listings on ico sites such as ICOdrops. The shitcoins that advertise on Youtube, Facebook have hardcaps above 20m..some are asking for 200m. Money grabs!

For the sake of my precious adspace, I really hope that isn't the case. I have been loving the past few weeks - adspace is so clear since every super affiliate is jacked to the tits on hodling their cryptos to the fucking moon

I actually wish I'd got into "selling the spades business" a few years ago, when I intended on doing. The funny thing is, no matter how hard the shit hits the fan, these retarded tunnel vision magic money kids just lap it up.

HODL HODL Rodney, this time next year, we'll be living in the bin sheds.

Feels like it’s gonna start snowballing...

So I take it you're shorting all the way to the bottom? It's easy money if you're so confident ;)

Is this the reason every crypto is red today?

Nope, that's due to tether FUD: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...itfinex-tether-said-to-get-subpoenaed-by-cftc

But the subpoena was served way back on December 6th (which was only added into the article after many people called them out). Bloomberg did the article today as if it was BREAKING NEWS... it's just pure manipulation by banks (Bloomberg is part owned by Bank of America) and mainstream media.

Of course. Check out my crypto picks thread, that I made before the event ;) unlike 98% of our "pro" traders who just use hindsight to work out their crypto billions.

I read it this morning, at the same time Samsung is building an ASIC miner that raised my hopes a bit.

It's a very good decision. Perhaps for the crypto fans out there, there could potentionally have only verified crypto pages release ads
At this moment, too many people are jumping on the hype of cryptocurrency and it allows for easy clicks
