Does blogging still a good idea in 2017?

Hi, i have saw many posts online of how well those blogger makes ton of money from ads placement back in 2014-2016 using the traffic sent from facebook. And i have just started my own blog last 2 month, but it doesn't seem goes well ... i am confusing whether i am on the right track or not... and every day still losing money for these 2 months... I have done using facebook ads and some seo...

So, does anyone at here can tell me is it still a good idea to do blogging business in year 2017? Based on your own experience, how long does you have takes to build your website traffic until you start earning good money?

I just need some suggestion or advice on the future path of blogging, it is really painful to do something when you are unsure is there any good potential ahead...

Imo blogging is something evergreen and it will last indefinitely because there will always be people reading them.

Your problem is that you're taking the blind approach. You've picked something without doing a decent research to see if there's huge competition in that niche, or you probably haven't even done basic on page SEO. Remember, there are limited seats in Google's SERP, however, it definitely isn't as difficult as it sound, provided you didn't jeopardized yourself by jumping in something competitive.

When I started my journey with clickbank, I targeted Sciatica. Ranking in google for any long tail of this term is impossible for a newbie, but of course I didn't knew. So make sure that you don't do this mistake.

It depends on the niche you choose I guess. Plus, there is a lot of time to invest, research, write articles etc to somehow make this work.

Hi, thank you for your sharing. Mind i ask usually it might takes how long? let say i update 1-2 article everyday... i know it sound silly to ask this kind of question as the variables are too much inside this issue... but maybe a rough figure time period will be do... currently i am in the dilemma on this time issue... Thank you. :)

I highly recommend you to use the search funtion, since you'll find some gems in there.
Once you take out methods you don't like, focus on one method till the end. It's easy to get overwhelmed and start a ton of methods at once, but it's a trap.

It's a Good Idea as always
But You must do SEO Correctly
Need to invest some for audience

I was promoting mine websites on mine country
and decent results but not for long time.
Because,People don;t visit the blog sites
regularly since there is a lot of competition right now!
 
You can't expect to get extremely good results after two months, if you are looking for a way to earn fast it's not for you then.
Blogging will always be a good idea, but you need to invest more time and make sure you have quality content

I see. This sound useful to me. So you have found your own method? How long have you take to found the method? Just asking.. anyway i know this may not apply to other people. :p Indeed, currently my mind is overwhelmed, i have few ideas, but each of them require long time learning and research and i am totally newbies on each field... so i am in dilemma which one should i go and carry on until the end... few ideas i am thinking... blogging, learn hacking skill, learn python, create a apps like quora, or go back to my old business dropshipping.... the reason why i sell my dropshipping business is i am tired to entertain customer email and i always feel anxious dont know the customer will go and open dispute and ask for refund.... sign.... confusing all the way.... now i want to start trying blogging, but it seem like the path are not promising... this is the part i feel insecure...is it i am thinking in wrong direction?

so do you still continue mine website? or have change to other niche?
