YouTube Start Up & Optimization Guide

Okay great. I just wanted some quick clarification..

I did a music cover of a song by Drake. The song is called 'take care'. So, would I simply put the title as "Drake - Take Care" (without quotes) and in the tag section, put "drake take care" and "drake"?

Yeah. That's how you would do it. Be sure to include Drake - Take Care within the description as well. :)

Exactly what I was looking for since I am starting with youtube . Thank you op :)

Forgot to mention that when you're using Goo.gl (google url shortener), they may block affiliate links (they block Peerfly from what I've seen). To get around that, make a simple subdomain or page and have it redirect to the offer and goo.gl will accept it ;)

LongBanana, if you'd be a chick I would kiss you, this is how much of a help you are.

YouTube Keyword Tool is not working for me.
Still use it?

nice post
thnx for sharing,,

I recently discovered the YouTube keyword tool myself, and I was overjoyed to find it, but recently I was horrified to discover that it has stopped working for me. Clicking the button does nothing, as if it's a dead page.

When this happened, I did some investigating and found that my AdWords account is permanently suspended because of something stupid I did years ago. Could this be the reason I'm unable to use the keyword tool? Are there any solutions?

Oh, and thanks for the informative thread OP. :)

I just did some more digging, and apparently the keyword tool is broken for a lot of people.

What a massive disappointment. I only stumbled upon it a few weeks ago, and was excited to begin research. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Great tip! And yes, I did mention to add captions, extras, etc. to your video to make it pop out more.

Also, YouTube Keyword Tool is working for me.

Great share, thank you. Always great to pick up bits of insights from people who have actually tested things out to see what works. YouTube may very well be one of the biggest new frontiers.
