YOUTUBE SEO Help

Hi there, i'm currently trying to make my videos rank higher in search and not having alot of luck. Is anything particullar i can do to make it happen ? I've been creating backlinks (i think) but nothing seems to be coming from it, if anyone here has worked with youtubers to help them rank higher or just good at SEO in general, please do in touch with me.
