Hi guys,

I need help cause I cant find straight answer anywhere online. So, my question is, does music copyright owner I used in video still get paid if video is age restricted on youtube?

Thanks.

Best way to check is if ads are currently being served on the video, if ads are served, then yes the copyright owner will get paid from that. Usually takes about six months for those payments to get to owners, much slower than Adsense payments that happen the next month.

Youtube got fined $170 million for using children data to target ads. Google could be a scammer for 20% profit every year.

Why does it take that much time. I mean it would be reflected in their account just like normal accounts.

The Content ID system that distributes ad rev to copyright holders on UGC is a much different system than the monetization system that creators use via AdSense. Though I suspect the distribution times do vary, from my perspective I look at artist distribution reports and it's typically a six month lag time from the month the stream generated the rev to when the artist/recording owner gets the payment. I wouldn't be surprised if the three big labels get payments much sooner than six months from UGC.
