YouTube purposely stopping accounts from scoring "Top Comment"?

As many YouTubers out there know, getting the top comment on larger channels help that channel grow exponentially. If done well, and you content is high-quality and entertaining, some top comments can score you anywhere between 30 ~ 90 subscribers sometimes.

We do this from time to time on our channel, upvoting our specific comment roughly 4 ~ 8 times by other accounts (not using a proxy). However, we have now found that YouTube now purposely never allows us to push into the front page of "Top Comments" anymore. Even when scoring 50 upvotes on a new video, comments from the same time-frame with less than 10% of our upvotes were pushing us down. This wasn't new comments replacing old ones. This was straight up "No matter how many likes you have on a comment, you will not climb the hierarchy".

People can still see our comments & respond to them. But it just will never reach the first page of comments.

Does anyone have any strong idea on why this is happening?

Looks like your account has low reputation.
YT top comments involve lots of factors, not only upvotes and replies.

Interesting, it happened to us a week ago, went back to normal and then came back. Anywhere where we can see our rep? And how can we help bring it back up?

Thanks!

Try to make several neutral comments for several days (not spammy looking) to avoid spam reports. You need to recovery your account reputation.
Don't too often from the same account.

Will do. Again, this happened before but we were reinstated. Do you think YouTube is noticing that I am upvoting my own comments with other YouTube accounts? I'll keep you posted!

Yep, YT can detect self-upvoting very easily.

YouTube could have detected your activity. Are you using some good proxy for that? If you haven't been doing so, you can considering trying it.

Yeah, when we get pushed back up and able to reach top comments again, we will try this.

We will be using proxies when this suppression is removed!
