Okay guys, so I see tons of people uploading news from fox, cnn, and other news channels on a regular basis. I know they can't monetize because it is copyright material. I also don't see any affiliate links in the description. So my question is what is the point of this? do they really enjoy politics this much, or do they have another plan for the channel. Also, if you upload news to youtube from channels such as cnn and fox, could you throw an amazon affiliate link in the description? or would youtube immediately take down the video? Thanks for any help you guys can offer I look forward to hearing from you

i also wonder.
i see ads on some channel too. i bet they earn good $

I was following a similar type of channel lately and here what I found after gaining quite a loads of followers this channel started narrating news on their own and now they can easily monetize those content. Maybe you can try the same

Interesting, I looked through a lot of the channels, but didn't see what you're talking about. Thanks for the information, I appreciate it.

I think the ones with ads, are the ones people make originally. Not upload from cnn, and fox news.

Who knows maybe they try to leverage it into something else or they just found a way to monetize them without getting copyright strikes by slightly modifiying them or something we don't know yet. I see so many of these channels in other niches as well I can't imagine they don't make money out of it and do it just for fun

that's the same thing I was thinking. I guess they may be just working on growing a following from all the copyrighted content, and than they will transition to original content once they have a lot of followers.
