Yes, you can use Google Keyword Planner or YouTube suggest tool for finding keywords. Also, you can check the competitor's tags and descriptions. These tools are free to use and can help you with ranking your videos.

Google Trends filter for YouTube Search, see keyword search trends on YouTube over time and by region.

Im all in for ahrefs when it comes to find keywords but its super expensive to subscribe i would recommend to find a service you pay a small fee for and get a couple of softwares including ahrefs for that price

To find the best keywords for YouTube videos, start by using YouTube’s autocomplete and related search suggestions to identify popular queries. Leverage tools like Google Trends, TubeBuddy, VidIQ, or KeywordTool.io for keyword research, focusing on long-tail keywords (e.g., "home workout for beginners no equipment") to reduce competition. Analyze competitor videos for their titles, descriptions, and tags. Optimize your video metadata by placing keywords in the title, description, tags, and even the video file name. Use trending topics and hashtags to boost discoverability, and monitor performance via YouTube Analytics, adjusting keywords or thumbnails to improve CTR. Example: For "home workout," target phrases like "10-minute home workout for women" based on search suggestions and tool data.

I think VidIQ is a good choice and it gives good results. You can try it.

Semrush group buy starts at 2$ per month you can get a 14 day free trial with a credit card. Vidiq free with limited features and paid starts from 5$ per month.
Make shorts don't even waste time on long videos you will have hard time ranking.

Hey, for zero cost ways to discover popular topics on YT, start with the search bar's auto-suggestions. Dive into comments sections of successful videos in your niche – people often ask questions there. Also, check out relevant subreddits and forums to see what problems people are discussing. Good luck.
